On December 10, the Eighth Meeting of the Mechanical Outstanding Talent Training Forum and the Expert Committee and the Teaching Collaboration Committee of the Beijing University Mechanical Professional Group was held at Beijing Institute of Graphic Communication. With the theme of "Digital Intelligence Integration and Innovation Empowerment", the forum focused on the construction of mechanical disciplines, the cultivation of outstanding talents, the construction of first-class courses, and the digital intelligence innovation of high-end equipment, bringing together academicians, experts, scholars and leaders of societies and associations in the field of mechanical engineering to discuss new ideas, new paths, and new methods.
Professor Chen Xuedong, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Professor Zhao Ji, chairman of the Teaching and Guidance Committee of Mechanical Majors in Colleges and Universities of the Ministry of Education and former president of Northeastern University, Professor Lu Daming, vice chairman of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, and other experts and scholars, Liu Xiao, director of the Higher Education Division of the Beijing Municipal Education Commission, and other leaders of competent departments, Tian Zhongli, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and dean of Beijing Institute of Graphic Communication, and more than 100 deans, experts and scholars from more than 20 universities, societies and associations across the country attended the meeting.
Tian Zhongli said in his speech that printing equipment, as an important means of supporting the continuous inheritance of Chinese traditional culture and building a cultural power, plays an important role in ensuring national cultural security. As the only full-time high-level characteristic institution of higher learning in China that cultivates talents for the whole industry chain of publishing and media, the school has the responsibility and obligation to deepen the integration of industry and education, strengthen the integration of science and education, establish and improve the talent training system of "digital and intelligent integration" of mechanical majors, cultivate compound innovative outstanding engineers, solve the key core technical problems of high-end printing equipment, and help build a printing power, a cultural power, and a manufacturing power.

Zhao Ji made a keynote report on "Reflections on the Development and Reform of Mechanical Engineering Education". Li Weihua, Dean of the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering of South China University of Technology, made a keynote report on "Integration of Science and Education, Competitive Education Integration: Exploration and Practice of Mechanical Innovative Talent Training Model".
In the afternoon, the eighth meeting of the Expert Committee and the Teaching Collaboration Committee of the Mechanical Professional Group of Beijing Universities - the sub-forum of the national first-class course seminar and the sub-forum of the innovation and development of high-end equipment digital intelligence were held simultaneously in the school.
In the sub-forum of the national first-class course seminar, Professor Zhang Jie of University of Science and Technology Beijing, Professor Guo Weidong of Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Professor Xiong Guangming of Beijing Institute of Technology, Professor Zheng Lifang of University of Science and Technology Beijing, Professor Duan Chenghong of Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Professor Zhang Jun and Professor Li Yan of Beijing Institute of Graphic Communication respectively made wonderful reports on the construction of many first-class courses such as mechanical professional group work, "mechanical principle" and "mechanical design".
In the sub-forum on the innovation and development of digital intelligence of high-end equipment, Professor Tao Fei of Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Professor Gao Xueshan of Beijing Institute of Technology, Professor Guo Sheng of Beijing Jiaotong University, Professor Wang Yanxue of Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Professor Zhu Jialei of Beijing Institute of Petrochemical Technology, and Professor Du Yanping of Beijing Institute of Graphic Communication respectively exchanged research results on the operation and maintenance control of digital twins of complex equipment, the all-round movement of robots, and the feature extraction technology of mechanical fault information.
