Founded in 1904, The Knox School is the oldest private school on Long Island, New York.

Knox School offers both full-time boarding and day schooling. A tranquil 40-acre waterfront estate on the North Shore of Long Island, New York, approximately 60 minutes from Manhattan. Knox's centennial educational philosophy aims to inspire and develop the unique potential of each student, through a variety of academic programs, college preparation, interest clubs, practical services, visual performing arts, and national sports competitions such as equestrian, athletics, and rowing, to support students on their future path to the university of their choice. Our riders learn to Xi under the tutelage of equestrian master James North and grow up in our historic equestrian center, where students can choose to board their own horses or ride one of the many knox show horses and ponies. Our state-of-the-art equestrian venue has recently undergone an impressive refurbishment and has been designed and installed by an industry leader who has ever created some of the finest competition venues for some of the world's top equestrian competitions, including Longines Global Champions Tours.
