On the evening of December 1, JAC Motors announced that it had signed the "Intelligent New Energy Vehicle Cooperation Agreement" with Huawei terminals, and the two sides would focus on building luxury intelligent networked electric vehicles, which was officially confirmed to cooperate with Huawei to build cars.

According to the agreement, the two parties will cooperate in product development, manufacturing, sales, and service based on Huawei's intelligent vehicle solutions, and strive to build luxury intelligent connected electric vehicles. The agreement is valid for 10 years from the date of signing. After the announcement, the share price of JAC Motors once exceeded 9% in intraday trading.

In addition, a research report released by a ** agency revealed that the smart model code of JAC Automobile and Huawei is X6, which is a sedan model, and the price will reach one million yuan, and the benchmark model is Mercedes-Mai**, and the new car is expected to be launched in the fourth quarter of 2024.

In fact, JAC began to get involved in the new energy vehicle industry as early as 2010. In 2011, 1,000 units of JAC's second-generation pure electric vehicles were delivered. In 2012, JAC successfully sold nearly 2,500 third-generation pure electric vehicles. In 2016, JAC launched its first all-electric SUV, the IEV6E. However, with several spontaneous combustion and recall incidents since then, as well as the decline of the first round of new energy vehicle manufacturing boom, JAC's new energy vehicle sales have also fallen rapidly.

Since then, JAC Motors hopes to take advantage of the opportunity of the Volkswagen joint venture to open a breakthrough in the new energy passenger car market. JAC Motors needs to get on the big ship of Huawei. Not to mention whether Huawei + JAC can benchmark Mai** in the brand, it is obvious that even if X6 can finally benchmark Mai** in terms of performance, configuration, and workmanship, and the price can be controlled at about one million, the volume of this market segment is still not large.
