The private server feature that Sea of Thieves players have been waiting for for a long time has finally been made by Rare. According to Rare's announcement, the Sea of Thieves Private Server feature will be released in the game's third major update to Season 10, which will be released on December 7th.

According to Rare, Sea of Thieves private servers will be called "Safe Seas", while the game's default multiplayer shared world mode will be renamed "High Seas". Sea of Safety mode allows players to create a private world where up to 4 players can play all of the game's PVE content. However, PVP content such as Hourglass Faction Battles, some online events (e.g. "** and Glory") and the Guild System of the Season 10 Update will not be available, and players will only receive 30% of the reputation and money from ** companies "on the high seas", and ** company level cap 40 (some ** companies cannot participate, such as Athena). RARE defines "Sea of Safety" as a mode in which players become familiar with the game, and once they are familiar with Sea of Thieves' systems, players can embark on a journey into the "high seas".

There is no doubt that RARE still regards the "high seas" mode as the most representative gameplay of Sea of Thieves, but the introduction of the "safe sea" mode also takes into account the newcomers and veterans who don't want to go out and get robbed, and are always interrupted by other players. The addition of the PVE mode gives newbies the opportunity to get started and old players to "retire".
