Luo Tuo (Xinmin) is a close friend of Beihong who held an anti-Japanese charity exhibition in Nanyang in 1941, and the eldest son of Dr. Luo Qingquan, an overseas Chinese leader. Beihong liked Xinmin's talent for painting, and personally taught Xinmin, who was only a teenager at the time, to paint and write. After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War in 1946, after Beihong took over the National Beiping Art College, he instructed Qingquan to send Xinmin back to the motherland, where he would be raised, educated and studied at the art school. In 1947, Xinmin returned to the motherland from Penang, Malaya, lived in my house, was taught by Beihong, and enrolled in the Western Painting Department of the Art College, and graduated from the ** Academy of Fine Arts in 1951.
