The vast majority of the heroes of Liangshan are reckless and wild men, although a few people have read some books, and after going up the mountain, they all regard themselves as heroes of the green forest, only useless, and stubbornly regard themselves as cultural people. This stubbornness manifests itself in two ways.
One is to dress up. Wu Yong's dressing style has always been different from others. Liangshan returned to the imperial court, the first time to enter Beijing to meet the emperor, and later the Liangshan army broke the Liao State, eliminated Wang Qing, when the class returned to the dynasty, in these three important court social occasions, the emperor asked everyone to wear into the city, Song Jiang and his party "are all brocade robes and gold belts", only Wu Yong, Gongsun Sheng, Lu Zhishen, Wu Song wore "true colors". Monks and Taoist priests can wear professional clothes when they see the emperor, and Wu Yong, an ordinary subject, has no professional clothes, but uses Zhuge Liang's lupine scarf as a scholar's professional clothes, and refuses to change it even if the emperor orders it, this kind of stubbornness is shocking.
The second is to call each other, Liangshan heroes call each other, generally called brothers, self-proclaimed is little brother, small can be villain, only useless, others call him Mr., and he is humbly called Xiaosheng.
Wu Yong is so stubborn, just to show the difference of his identity as a reader, so, as a reader, how much culture is in the useless chest?Take a look at his poems.
What can definitely belong to Wu Yong's work is the Tibetan poem on the wall of Lu Junyi's house: "There is a flat boat in the Luhua Swing, Junjie and Russia swim from here, if the righteous can know this reason, they can flee without worry." "It's a game, but it's also very well conceived, and it's disappointing that there's no poetry at all.
Later, Lu Junyi fled to the edge of Liangshan Shuibo, and when the three Ruan brothers arrested Lu Junyi, they all sang smoothly. Among them, Ruan Xiaoer sang this Tibetan poem. At that time, the three Nguyen brothers sang a total of five songs. It is estimated that they were all written by Wu Yong. As Ruan Xiaowu sang: "Fishing is a world of tweed, and you don't plant seedlings or hemp." The cool officials and stolen officials were all killed, and they faithfully repaid the Zhao official family. Ruan Xiaoqi sang: "Qiankun gave birth to me and splashed my skin, and I have never been endowed with murder." Wan Liang ** doesn't love it, and he wants to catch the jade unicorn. The five poems are full of strong banditry, and there is no trace of literati in sight.
Later, Gao Yu led the army to attack Liangshan, and found a poem in the land temple on the mountain: "Help the idle Zhiyi Gao Yu, and lead the three armies upstream." There are 10,000 loach boats, all of which are resting in the berth. The rhyme and penmanship of the poem are similar to the poem on Lu Junyi's wall, and it is certain that it is also the work of Wu Yong, which is also full of the atmosphere of the rivers and lakes, the style is vulgar, and the backbone is weak, showing that the author has no ink.
Judging from these poems, Wu Yong's literary level is very average, and it is not even as good as Lin Chong's first angry work: "Righteousness is Lin Chong, and he is the most simple and loyal." The rivers and lakes are known and the heroes are generously gathered. The life experience is sad and floating, and the fame is turned into a canopy. If he is ambitious, Weizhen Taishan!Lin Chong's poems, although they can't be said to have a profound artistic conception, are full of generosity and grief and heroic spirit, and the rhyme is far more than Wu Yong.
With Wu's literary level, it is estimated that it is still difficult to be a primary school teacher (塾师) at that time, and there is no hope for ten lifetimes to go to the imperial examination. So why is he so stubborn in labeling himself as a reader?There can only be one way to explain it, that is, psychological compensation, that is, what the folk call what is lacking and what is made up. What Wu lacks is culture, so he desperately "piles" culture on the appearance.
This method is commonly used in ancient and modern times, for example, desperately growing a long beard and hair, and not washing it once every six months, so as to play a cultural artist, it is also a kind of psychological compensation.
