Discuss and optimize the digital talent training system

Digital talent is one of the key factors driving the development of the digital economy, and talents with interdisciplinary thinking and digital capabilities can better adapt to the needs of the digital economy and lay a good foundation for future economic development. However, there is still a certain gap in the cultivation of digital talents in the Bay Area, which cannot meet the demand for talents in the digital economy. Therefore, it is of great significance to further promote the development of the digital economy in the Bay Area by optimizing the digital talent training system and improving the digital literacy and practical ability of financial talents in the Bay Area.

In his speech, Zheng Xiancao, Secretary of the Party Committee of Guangdong University of Finance and Economics, said that in order to give full play to the value of massive data, promote the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, promote the integration of data and reality, and build industrial clusters, it is necessary to establish an efficient, safe and reliable data platform, optimize the policy environment, and attach importance to the cultivation of digital talents. As a highland for the cultivation of financial, political and legal talents in Guangdong and even South China, Guangdong University of Finance and Economics has provided strong talent support for the development of the digital economy in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area in recent years, and will continue to devote itself to cultivating outstanding talents with interdisciplinary thinking and digital capabilities.

He pointed out that talents are the most valuable asset to promote the development of digital smart cities, and a large number of interdisciplinary talents who are familiar with technology, good at management, and brave in innovation are needed on the road to building a digital society, including strategic planners, skilled talents and industry experts. Professor Wei Xiangdong of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University believes that interdisciplinary education is an inevitable and urgent need for talent training in the era of digital economy, and it is necessary to change not only the education system, but also the concept of career preparation of educators. Educators should act as promoters of cultivating digital economy professionals and leading talents in the development of the digital economy, researchers who conduct relevant research to promote the development of digital technology and applications, and a bridge to promote exchanges and cooperation among academic talents, industry experts, enterprises, and enterprises.

In this regard, Wang Fangfang, dean of the School of Digital Economy of Guangdong University of Finance and Economics, also mentioned that the release of the macroeconomic operation monitoring report of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area is also an important measure to advocate the construction of an academic community in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, and to integrate the bay with scientific research data and give full play to the social service ability of the university as a first-class university of finance and economics in the Greater Bay Area.
