On December 9, "Synaesthesia - Liu Chunchao Lacquer Painting Exhibition" was launched in Zhongshan Culture and Art Center, and the exhibition exhibited a total of 39 lacquer paintings by painter and poet Liu Chunchao, and the exhibition will last until December 19.

As an artist, Liu Chunchao has traveled all over the world, leaving traces for himself in the form of poetry and painting everywhere he goes. Liu Chunchao's art works have been selected for exhibitions such as the 11th National Art Exhibition, and won many awards such as the Excellence Award (the highest award) of the Shanghai World Expo China Art Exhibition.

The 39 lacquer paintings on display all revolve around the same theme – "Boundary, Unbounded", reflecting Liu Chunchao's thoughts on "existence and non-existence, right and wrong, black and white". Liu Chunchao introduced that in the process of painting, he used different colors of paint, blended with oil, to naturally flow on the picture to form a trajectory, and at the same time added eggshell as a boundary material, forming a kind of "heaven and earth unity", seemingly bounded and unbounded.
I used to paint Chinese paintings, but then I started to get into lacquer painting, and many people first learned about me through my work "Ai Lian Said". In the process of creating lacquer paintings, I applied some techniques of splashing ink and color in Chinese painting, so these works that I met with you this time can also be called splashed lacquer paintings. Liu Chunchao said that for the audience, it may be difficult to find a specific image from the work, but perhaps each audience can get different psychological feelings, visual feelings and inner thinking from the creative skills and pictures, "This is also the greatest charm and value of lacquer painting."

Liu Chunchao is not only a painter who dares to break through himself, but also a poet. Liu Chunchao said: "My paintings and poems are the two banks of a river, and together they maintain my spiritual river. Liu Chunchao, who is both a poet and a painter, travels between literature, painting and other artistic disciplines.
In May this year, at the "Synaesthesia - Liu Chunchao Lacquer Painting Exhibition and Spring Tide and Shen Jian's "Poetry and Song" Gathering held at the Zhuhai Borderless Art Museum, Liu Chunchao's poems such as "Reading Poems to Flowers" and "Silence Between Hometown and Foreign Land" and other original songs were affectionately interpreted, integrating poems, songs and paintings, and resonating with the audience's hearts through visual and auditory projection.
During the exhibition, the audience can also enjoy the unique "poetry and painting" - on December 16, "Synaesthesia - Liu Chunchao Lacquer Painting Exhibition and Chunchao and Shen Jian's "Poetry and Song" Performance" will be held, the performance will be held in the form of Liu Chunchao's original poetry recitation and Liu Chunchao's and Shen Jian's original song singing, and Liu Chunchao's lacquer painting exhibition will jointly explain the theme of "synaesthesia".
