The road trip in 2023 is one of the things I look forward to the most throughout the year. I have summarized my 4 long road trips and shared these precious memories with you one by one. Every trip is filled with adventure, food, and endless scenery that bring me endless pleasure and unforgettable memories.
In the Spring Festival of 2023, I took my parents on a special parent-child journey. We chose Tengchong Nu River as our destination for a 7-day trip. Let's first walk in Tengchong and Shun Ancient Town to feel the ancient atmosphere and unique culture. Then, we visited the Tengchong Big Boiling Pot and the Western Yunnan Anti-Japanese War Memorial Hall, and deeply felt the weight of history and the heroism of the people. In Longling Bangla, we enjoyed the comfort of soaking in the hot springs and picked the fresh fruits of Baihualing Farmhouse with our own hands. Nujiang Peach Blossom Island and Shun Ancient Town have left us with good memories, and my father also helped us take a lot of beautiful **. The whole journey, the average cost per person is less than 2000 yuan, which is great value for money.
At the end of April and the beginning of May, I went on a food trip with a few friends, visiting Guangdong and Fujian by car. Our trip lasted 19 days and covered a total of 5,241 km. From the first beach in Zhanjiang, Guangdong, to Hailing Island in Yangjiang, we tasted a variety of seafood delicacies, especially the seafood feast was mouth-watering. In Kaiping Sculpture Tower and Chikan Ancient Town, we feel the long history and unique architectural style. Jiangmen's 33 Market Street, Shunde's food, Shantou Park, Nan'ao Island, Chaozhou, Nanjing Tulou, Xiamen, Quanzhou, Pingtan Island, Fuzhou, Xiapu, Jiangxi Yichun and other places, we have tasted local specialties at every stop, such as Yusheng, claypot rice, Chaoshan beef hot pot, Fuzhou Laohua, etc., and have experienced the infinite charm of food. The whole journey, the average cost per person was about 9,000 yuan, and we returned with a full load, leaving a full memory.
On my next trip, I chose to visit the lesser-known attractions of the Red River in Yunnan Province and started a different kind of journey with my niece. The trip lasted 5 days and covered a total of 1,500 kilometers. We visited Mile Lake Spring Hot Spring, Dongfeng Yun Scenic Area, Luxi Chengzi Ancient Village, Mengzi Bise Village, Jianshui Ancient City and other places. There are not many arrangements and constraints on this trip, it is pure casual freedom. In Maitreya, we felt the simple rural life and enjoyed the comfort and tranquility brought by the spring water. In Dongfeng Yun, we are immersed in the beautiful natural scenery and feel the magic of nature. With an average cost of about 2,000 yuan per person, this journey allowed us to harvest precious parent-child time and feel endless beauty.
The last self-drive trip was the most exciting for me, we chose ** and Qinghai as our destinations, and challenged the seventh difficult route into Tibet. The trip lasted 20 days and we covered more than 7,700 kilometers. We visited Jiaying Village, Chayu, Laigu Glacier, Bangda Grassland, Qamdo Qiang Balin Temple, Wuqi Chajema Hall and other places, and we were deeply impressed at every stop. Yushu Jiegu Temple, Zizhu Temple, Jiana Mani Shijing City, Sanjiangyuan, Chaka Salt Lake, Feicui Lake, Water Yadan, Qilian Grassland and Zhuoer Mountain and other places let us marvel at the magic and magnificence of nature. Throughout the trip, we did simple cooking on the roadside, tasted local specialties, and felt the charm of Tibetan areas. With an average consumption of about 7,800 yuan per capita, this trip was a baptism of soul for me, which made me realize the preciousness of life and the wonder of the world.
Through these four long-distance road trips, I not only experienced different customs and food cultures, but more importantly, deepened my bond with my family and friends.
