According to a report from the Evening Standard, Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino will bring in a striker, a midfielder and a defender in the winter window.
Mauricio Pochettino will be in talks with the Chelsea hierarchy about transfer plans for January, after suggesting the club would need to write another cheque in the transfer market.
The Blues continued their miserable season with a 2-0 defeat to Everton at Goodison Park on Sunday, with Pochettino making it clear he was not happy with the quality of his squad, despite club owner Boehly having spent more than £1 billion on new players.
Pochettino will join sporting directors Paul Winstanley and Lawrence Stewart in talks with owners Boehly and Egbari over transfer plans for January. It is reported that he hopes to lock in a defender, a midfielder and a striker next month.
Chelsea have spent almost £400 million on 12 signings this summer, but have won just five of their first 16 league games. And injuries to captain Reece James, defender Marc Cucurella and goalkeeper Robert Sanchez added to their worst day in Merseyside.
