The outbreak of this war surprised many people. They do not understand why there is a sudden war between Palestine and Israel, and what led to such an outcome. Actually, this is the wrong question. The right question should be why the war between Palestine and Israel is only now underway. Because the contradictions between Palestine and Israel have accumulated for decades, they have been in a state of war and hostility, and it is only in the last two years that there have been some signs of peace.
The last time there was a large-scale clash between Palestine and Israel was in May 2021. At that time, Israel and armed groups in the Gaza Strip exchanged fire for 11 days, causing significant fire on both sides. It was only through the mediation of the international community that the two sides reached a ceasefire agreement, which came into effect on 21 May. However, this did not solve the fundamental problem between Palestine and Israel, but only temporarily suppressed the ** of the powder keg.
The issue between Palestine and Israel involves historical, religious, ethnic, land, and other factors, and it also involves the interests and wrestling of major powers. On many issues, it is difficult for the two sides to compromise and communicate, and they can only fight for and safeguard their own interests through force. Israelis, for example, have dumped cement into wells in the "Hijra" area of Palestine to prevent Palestinians from using these wells for agriculture and depriving them of their livelihoods**. This is just a microcosm of the many conflicts between Palestine and Israel, and there are many, many similar things happening that have deepened the hatred and mistrust between the two sides. So, when a spark ignites dry wood, war inevitably breaks out. Only this time, the timing of the war was somewhat inappropriate. Because in the past two years, the trend in the Middle East has been one of great reconciliation, not great war.
Not long ago, I wrote an article saying that the United States and Saudi Arabia are preparing to sign the most important agreement of the century. At the heart of the deal is the normalization of relations between Saudi Arabia and Israel in exchange for U.S. security guarantees and nuclear aid. This is an important bargaining chip for the United States to return to the Middle East, and it is also a major decision for Saudi Arabia as the leader of the Arab world.
At the time, the United States promised to make concessions to Israel on the Palestinian issue, freeze settlements and no longer occupy the West Bank. Saudi Arabia, for its part, has pledged to recognize Israel's presence and territory, and that it will no longer cooperate militarily and technically with China, nor will it settle oil in renminbi. This agreement, if signed, would be beneficial to both the United States and Saudi Arabia, but it would be a huge blow to China and Palestine.
At that time, I said, don't worry, let's see how the bullets fly. Because I think it is very difficult for the United States to make Israel make concessions on the Palestinian issue, because this is a life-and-death battle for Israel, not a game of interests between Saudi Arabia and Iran. And Saudi Arabia, as the big brother of the Arab world, must also take into account the feelings of other Arab countries and cannot easily give up its support for Palestine. If the United States cannot get Israel to make concessions, then Saudi Arabia will not easily recognize Israel, let alone other conditions.
The result?It didn't take long for the Palestinians and Israelis to fight. This war will completely break the possibility of the US-Saudi agreement, at least in the short term. The dream of the United States returning to the Middle East has been shattered. Correspondingly, Saudi Arabia can only continue to cooperate with China, and will not easily give up China's military and technical support, nor will it easily give up the advantage of RMB to settle oil. The conditions that the United States has asked Saudi Arabia to do will be implemented at an accelerated pace.

We need to actively participate in peace mediation, promote dialogue and negotiation, promote reconciliation and cooperation, and refrain from doing anything to undermine regional stability. We should adhere to the principle of mutual benefit and win-win results, deepen economic and cultural exchanges, enhance mutual understanding and trust, and refrain from doing anything that harms the interests of other countries.
