Later, Linghu Chu died of illness, and after participating in the funeral of the chef, Li Shangyin received an olive branch thrown to him by Wang Maoyuan, the envoy of Jingyuan Jiedu, so he went to Jingzhou in 837 AD and became Wang Maoyuan's staff.
Jingzhou is today's Jingchuan County, Pingliang City, Gansu Province, and Li Shangyin went to Jingzhou with Han Zhan, a fellow Jinshi, and Han Zhan later became Wang Maoyuan's eldest son-in-law. Because Li Shangyin's literary talent is very high, he is very valued by Wang Maoyuan, and Wang Maoyuan married his youngest daughter Wang Yanwei to Li Shangyin as his wife, and achieved a beautiful marriage. After getting married, the young couple lived in his father-in-law's house, and Li Shangyin had a warm place to belong. With the warmth of his wife, coupled with the protection of his father-in-law as the envoy of Jingyuan Jiedu, and the company of Han Zhan and his wife in and out, with both family and friendship, Li Shangyin's life at that time was very comfortable and comfortable. In Jingzhou City that year, Li Shangyin and his wife Wang Yanyuan were so free to enjoy the land of Jingzhou on a sunny day or a crisp autumn day, and they wrote "Anding City Tower" and "Yao Chi" at that time, two famous poems through the ages, and Li Shangyin also spent the happiest and happiest three years of his life in Jingzhou.
Once Li Shangyin wanted to leave his wife for a period of time, but his wife was affectionate and inseparable. Seeing this situation, Li Shangyin wrote a sincere oath in his heart with a pen: "It is difficult to say goodbye when we meet, and the east wind is powerless." The spring silkworm is dead to the end, and the wax torch turns to ash and tears begin to dry. Xiaojing but the clouds and temples have changed, and the night chant should feel the cold moonlight. There is no way to go to Pengshan, and the blue bird is diligent to visit. What an affectionate confession, if there is no sincere emotion and long-term separation between two people, and endure endless lovesickness, how can they write the most touching love words in the world?However, fate always likes to joke, the talented Li Shangyin has a full belly of splendid talent and a happy marriage, but what is unexpected is that this marriage has involved Li Shangyin in the whirlpool of "Niu Li Party Dispute". At that time, there were two factions led by Niu Shengyu and Li Deyu in the court, fighting for life and death, and water and fire were incompatible. At that time, Li Shangyin's mentor Linghu family belonged to the "Niu Party" headed by Niu Monks and Ru, while his father-in-law Wang Maoyuan belonged to the "Li Party" headed by Li Deyu. Li Shangyin clearly involved himself in the whirlpool of "Niu Li Party Dispute", and his friends ridiculed him, saying that he was ungrateful and stepped on two boats. So in 838 A.D., in the official examination that Li Shangyin participated, Ling Huxuan hinted that the examiner "This person forgets his family's kindness, lets go of profits and steals, and is very unbearable." This led to Li Shangyin being directly removed from the list during the review. A year later, Li Shangyin took the official examination again and finally got the position of secretary and provincial school secretary. Later, he was transferred to Hongnong County Wei. In 842 AD, Li Shangyin re-entered the secretary province as a straight character because of his outstanding talent, and just when his career finally improved, his mother died. According to the regulations at that time, Li Shangyin had to leave his post and go home to keep filial piety for three years. The three years of his filial piety at home happened to be the most glorious period of the "Li Party" to which his father-in-law Wang Maoyuan belonged, and it can also be said that Li Shangyin missed this good opportunity. After that, Wang Maoyuan died of illness, which made Li Shangyin's situation even worse.
In order to find some opportunities, Li Shangyin and his wife Wang Yanyuan came to Chang'an at that time and settled in a cave in Fanchuan, which was also a low point in Li Shangyin's life. As the son-in-law of Wang Maoyuan of the Li Party faction and the protégé of the Linghu family of the former Niu Party faction, Li Shangyin was sandwiched between the two factions, and no one wanted to see him. Whatever he does, he will be attacked;No matter what he said, he would be abused and ridiculed, and Li Shangyin was extremely depressed. One evening, he drove to the Leyouyuan in the south of Chang'an City, and under the afterglow of the sunset, he wrote, "Xiang was unwell at night, and drove to the ancient plain." The sunset is infinitely good, just near dusk. This philosophical psalm that has been sad for thousands of years.
In order to make a living, Li Shangyin bid farewell to his wife and children who lived in the Fanchuan cave, and followed a backbone of the "Li Party" named Zheng Ya to distant Guilin, but later Zheng Ya was demoted again, and Li Shangyin was also unemployed. According to the introduction, Li Shangyin went to Xuzhou, where Lu Hongzheng was the envoy of the Wuning Army, to serve as a judge, and just when he thought that he could live in peace, Lu Hongzheng unfortunately died of illness, so Li Shangyin had to find a way to make a living again. In desperation, he went to the land of Bashu. In 851 A.D., on a rainy autumn night, Li Shangyin, who was looking for a job in Bashu at the time, received a letter from his wife Wang Yanyuan from Chang'an. Listening to the autumn rain outside the window, Li Shangyin couldn't help but miss his wife and children at home even more, so he wrote a "Night Rain Sending North" that has been passed down through the ages: "The gentleman asks for the return date, and the night rain in Bashan rises in the autumn pool. He cut the candles in the west window together, but when it rained at night in Bashan. In 855 AD, he returned to Chang'an, but he never thought that his beloved wife Wang Yanyuan had quietly died in this bleak autumn, and the couple had not been able to see each other for the last time. This made Li Shangyin's liver and intestines broken, and his heart was like a knife. Seven years later, Li Shangyin, who had spent his whole life, also died of illness. When the family was packing up his belongings, they found a tear-stained piece of paper next to his pillow, on which was written a poem that I don't know when I had completed and didn't even have a title, which is the popular "Jin Se" that has been shocked by later generations: "Jin Se has fifty strings for no reason, one string and one pillar Si Hua Nian." Zhuang Shengxiao dreams of butterflies, and hopes that the emperor will trust the cuckoo in spring. There are tears in the pearl of the sea and the moon, and the blue field is warm and the jade is smoking. This situation can be recalled, but it was already clear at the time. "This song has been beautiful for thousands of years, and no one has been able to explain the deep meaning of it. The poet has always sighed that "a "Jinse" solves people's difficulties", which is the unbearable weight of love, and it is also the unbearable lightness of life. Maybe it's missing his beloved wife Wang Yanyuan, or maybe it's the sadness and melancholy that he has never met in his life. In a trance, the wife Yu Xiang is still there, it seems to be real and illusory, only the love between heaven and earth can show the gods.
In 858, Li Shangyin returned to his hometown of Zhengzhou and died soon after at the age of 46. Speaking of which, the life of this talented man can be described as a fateful and bumpy one. He is afraid of being ignored and abandoned, he can only keep looking for support, chasing warmth, and fate always plays tricks on him. Perhaps it is precisely because of this experience that the poet's poem "Untitled" is born: "Last night's stars and last night's wind, the west side of the painting hall and the east of Guitang." There are no colorful phoenix wings, and there is a little bit of wisdom in the heart. The next seat sends the hook spring wine warm, and the Cao shoots the wax lamp red. Yu listened to the drum and responded to the official, and went to the Malan platform to turn the tent. ”
In front of a cave in Fanchuan, Chang'an District, Xi'an today, I left a trip of melancholy. Looking around, I was filled with emotion and imagination. The cave in front of him is very small and narrow, you can imagine that Li Shangyin lived a very aggrieved life back then, compared with leaving countless exquisite poems, his life is really embarrassing. As a result, we may feel more deeply that each poem contains a period of his hardships and embarrassments, and every sentence expresses Li Shangyin's helplessness of "spring hatred when lotus leaves are born, and autumn hatred when lotus leaves are dry". Fortunately, we still have Li Shangyin's poems that will continue to be recited to comfort our hearts.
