2.Apply for MFI System Review (Apple Audit);
3.Submit a product plan;
4.Get Apple Core Information;
5.Self-examination, self-testing;
6.Apple Audit Test;
7.Packaging certification, mass production.
Note: CarPlay certification is actually a kind of certification of Apple MFI certification, first of all, you must join the membership of Apple MFI, pass Apple's audit, before you can submit the product for Carplay certification!
The CarPlay certification test program is divided into four parts:
1.usb-if；
2.benchtesting(including usb benchtesting)；
3.location；
4.itu-t(itu-tp.1100，itu-tp.1110)。
Car companies generally don't support CarPlay for the following reasons:
1.The car company does not agree with the way CarPlay is developed, so it does not support it. The features supported by CarPlay are fully controlled by Apple. Prior to this, the development of the large screen was dominated by the car company, which defined all the functions;
2.CarPlay certification usually takes 1-2 years, which cannot meet the requirements of the car's time to market;
3.Due to the cost, it is necessary to add a dedicated IC to install CarPlay, which increases the cost.
