Why is it said that electric vehicles do not have to comply with car purchase regulations?
China's policy on electric vehicles is not limited to monetary subsidies. First of all, when buying a car, it is easier to obtain a license for an electric vehicle than for a fuel vehicle. In Beijing, people have to get a license before buying a car, but due to traffic congestion and high air pollution, China began to limit the number of license plates in January 2011. In addition to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Tianjin and other places also have this restriction.
In Shanghai, the method of obtaining a license is the auction system, that is, "you can buy a license with money". Auction prices are often relatively high, so the phenomenon of "license plates are higher than cars" has become a hot topic. In Beijing, you need to participate in the lottery to obtain a license, and the probability of medium is very low. In other words, if you don't get the number, you can't buy a car no matter how much money you have.
However, electric vehicles do not have to comply with these two regulations, and as long as they sign up for the queue, they will eventually get a license. The author once read such a report, someone waited for several years to buy a fuel car, but changed his mind to buy an electric car and quickly got a license.
There are other preferential policies after buying a car. Since 2008, Beijing has implemented a restriction on the tail number of cars. In the central area of Beijing, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays, vehicles that can drive during the day are restricted according to the tail number of the license plate.
Specifically, on weekdays, the last digit of the five-digit license plate is used to limit the number of vehicles that can and cannot be driven. For example, on Monday, cars with tail numbers 5 and 0 are restricted, on Tuesday there are cars with tail numbers 1 and 6, and on Wednesday there are cars with tail numbers 2 and 7. In addition, the restrictions vary depending on the time of day.
All owners of gasoline vehicles are not allowed to drive one day a week, but electric vehicles are not subject to this restriction.
