Suzhou has been the vane of Chinese art since the Yuan Dynasty, and calligraphers such as Shen Zhou and Wen Zhengming have left outstanding artistic footprints in this land. As an important figure in the contemporary Suzhou calligraphy industry, Mr. Chen Guozhong has inherited the profound heritage of Suzhou calligraphy, and has embodied his own unique artistic charm in his works. His experience at the People's Fine Arts Publishing House has influenced him deeply in traditional and modern art. As Mr. Shen Peng, Honorary Chairman of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, said: "Guozhong is also a calligrapher who came out of Renmei. He ate the things of the ancients thoroughly and made them good. is also writing literati characters, and the country has written the strength and style of the literati who are above the wind and dust, which is a kind of high-level writing. As an advocate and practitioner who has been committed to the research of calligraphy art for a long time, Mr. Chen Guozhong's artistic pursuit is not only limited to this, but also puts forward the innovative concept of integrating garden art into calligraphy art.

Mr. Chen Guozhong's love for Suzhou gardens is palpable, and this emotion is deeply integrated into his calligraphy, creating an artistic style known as "garden calligraphy". His calligraphy not only takes the form of the pink walls and tiles of the Jiangnan garden, but also pursues the joy of freedom and transcendence in the spiritual connotation, presenting a unique freshness and agility that seems to be sprinkled by the spring rain of apricot blossoms in the south of the Yangtze River. Through the subtle observation of the Jiangnan garden, he skillfully introduced the concept of "block surface feeling" into his calligraphy creation, believing that the line is equally important to the block, and pursuing the extension of the block surface. This pursuit of "block surface" makes his calligraphy not only rich and varied in brushstrokes, but also makes the viewer feel the beauty of the intermingling of lines and blocks in appreciation. It can be said that "garden calligraphy" is Mr. Chen Guozhong's persistent pursuit of expressing his inner feelings and showing his simple feelings, and it is also the embodiment of the integration of spiritual temperament with the context of his hometown.

Mr. Chen Guozhong is not only an innovator in art form, but also a "devotee" of calligraphy. He devoted himself to many years and created the masterpiece "Three Hundred Tang Poems in Xingshu". The scale of production of this book and the arduous task of copying 300 Tang poems are difficult to find on the market.

"Three Hundred Tang Poems" was published by Jiangsu Phoenix Education Publishing House, designed by the famous book designer Zhou Chen, and printed by Shanghai Artron Art Printing. The book uses 1 billion ultra-high-definition pixels to capture the original long scroll, combined with the unique color processing process standard, to accurately restore the details of the original long scroll. The album is large in eight open sizes, and the inner pages are double-layered and framed in the form of folding, all hand-bound. It can be fully expanded from the first page to the last page, and the total length reaches 4215 meters, perfect presentation of the true appearance of the calligraphy scroll. The cover is composed of two layers inside and outside, using coffee-colored binding cloth, and the surface text and patterns are reflected by hot black, hot pearl white and concave technology, especially the inner cover is concave with wonderful calligraphy on the whole surface, so that readers can feel the charm of calligraphy from the visual and tactile senses. Magnetic strips are built into the opening and closing of the front and back covers, which increases the protection, crispness and sense of ceremony of the album. The text is made of high-end picture art paper with elegant color, comfortable feel and strong restoration, which perfectly reproduces the color of calligraphy works.

The Three Hundred Tang Poems is not only a simple transcription of the poems, but also reflects Mr. Chen Guozhong's superb calligraphy skills and unique interpretation of classical literature. Through the in-depth interpretation of each poem, he integrates the words and lines and the poet's artistic conception with his own emotions, not sticking to the surface of the text, but outlining the poetic beauty through the ups and downs of each stroke, this profound and expressive artistic language allows the audience to not only appreciate the beauty of classical poetry in appreciation, but also feel Mr. Chen Guozhong's deep understanding of life and nature.

Mr. Chen Guozhong has created a new artistic realm through the inspiration of Suzhou gardens, the pursuit of artistic uniqueness, and the painstaking exploration of calligraphy. His works not only inherit traditional culture, but also inject modern elements, injecting new vitality into Chinese calligraphy. This "devotee" of calligraphy has demonstrated the breadth and profundity of calligraphy art to the world with his own actions, and has made a unique contribution to the inheritance of traditional culture.

The academic significance of Chen Guozhong's calligraphy lies in the fact that he creatively integrates the exquisite, dexterous and elegant artistic characteristics of Suzhou's classical gardens into his brushwork, thus forming a calligraphy paradigm with the character of Suzhou gardens, which is unique in today's art world.
