As adults, we seem to be getting more and more used to using emojis to express our emotions. Sometimes, we will send a smiling face or a crying face to represent our inner joys, sorrows, and sorrows. But are these emojis really able to fully express our inner emotions?
As we grow up, we start to take on more responsibilities and pressures. We need to excel at work, we need to play a good role in our family, and we need to keep our relationships harmonious. All this makes us more complicated and hypocritical. We have learned to hide our pain and insecurity with a smile, and we have learned to hide our true thoughts with words.
Sometimes, we feel happy and happy from the bottom of our hearts, but more often than not, our smiles are just pretended to cater to the occasion or social needs. We are no longer as happy as we were when we were children because of a candy or a small thing. Instead, we need to succeed in something bigger or gain more material possessions to be truly fulfilled and happy.
But can this false smile really make us feel truly happy? If we keep hiding our true emotions, will we become more and more lonely and lost?
Actually, I still hope to say that happiness comes from the heart, not a hypocritical pretence. I want to be able to feel fulfilled and happy in the little things, not just when I am successful or have more material possessions. I want to be able to be more honest with myself and others, rather than hiding my pain and insecurity with a false smile.
In this fast-paced society, we need more sincerity and authenticity. We need to express our emotions and thoughts with words and actions, rather than covering our hearts with a false smile. Only then can we truly feel fulfilled and happy, and can we truly build genuine relationships with others.
