Deshandian Reservoir
Chushandian Reservoir is located in the upper reaches of the main stream of the Huai River, which is a key project for the control of the Huai River. The total storage capacity is 125.1 billion cubic meters, the project task is mainly flood control, combined with water supply, irrigation, and comprehensive utilization such as power generation.
The project started in August 2015, the water was stored in May 2019, and the completion acceptance was passed in December 2021. After the completion of the project, it will effectively regulate the flood in the upstream mountainous areas, improve the flood control standards of the downstream protection area of the reservoir and the polder area above Wangjiaba, reduce the probability of opening part of the flood storage area below Wangjiaba, and play a significant role in flood control, power generation and ecological benefits.

Xiqi River Pumping Station
Xiqi River pumping station is a large (2) type pumping station in the emergency project of Xiqi River along the Huaihe River Basin in Anhui Province, with a design drainage flow of 180 cubic meters per second, a diversion flow of 85 cubic meters per second, and a machine of 14,400 kilowatts.
The project passed the acceptance of the unit in December 2019, and played an important role in flood control and drainage in the 2020 flood season, with a pumping and drainage volume of 33 billion cubic meters, effectively reducing the water level of the Xiqi River during the flood season, and further improving the flood control and waterlogging capacity of the Xiqi River Basin.
