In 2017Wang Hairong died of illness, and many descendants of revolutionaries attended the memorial service, and the day of his death was a bit special.

On September 9 of that year, Wang Hairong, a famous diplomat, died of illness in Beijing at the age of 79. Subsequently, a number of national leaders and descendants of old revolutionaries attended her memorial service and laid wreaths for her.

She was an official to the rank of vice minister during her lifetime, never married, and made important contributions to China's diplomatic cause. Attentive people also found that the day of her death was a bit special.

So, what kind of experience does Wang Hairong have? What day did she die?

In November 1965, 27-year-old Wang Hairong graduated from Beijing University of Foreign Languages. She is a good foreign language, and she was arranged in the secretariat of the General Office, responsible for sending and receiving messages and telegrams between the minister and the prime minister.

At the same time, she will prepare a number of diplomatic briefings as needed. Because she is young and enthusiastic and has a straightforward personality, she quickly gained a foothold in ***.

Before the mid-70s of the last century, under the leadership of ***, all work was in good order. Due to the strict employment of people, it was known as the slowest department to be promoted at that time.

Take Qiao Guanhua as an example, it took him 15 years to be promoted from the director level to the deputy minister level.

However, Wang Hairong's promotion path is very smooth and fast, and he is also the fastest promoted diplomat since the founding of the People's Republic of China to the 70s.

From her resume, it can be seen that she joined the ministry in 1965, served as deputy director of the protocol department in 1971, and was directly promoted to assistant minister the following year.

Two years later, she was promoted again and became the Undersecretary for the Americas and Oceania. This was unprecedented in the decades since it was established.

Because as of the year she took office, only she was a woman among the 53 vice ministers, including Wang Hairong, and the youngest vice minister was only 36 years old.

It can be seen that in less than ten years, she has been promoted from a small clerk in the secretariat all the way up, and finally reached the pinnacle of her diplomatic career.

During this period, she accompanied *** to receive Nixon's visit to China, and also participated in the reception of Kissinger's secret visit to China.

It is worth mentioning that during this period, China resumed its lawful seat in the United Nations, and the headquarters in New York sent an invitation to China to send representatives to the United Nations to participate in the congress.

At that time, a delegation was formed, and Wang Hairong, as the only woman among the eight chief and deputy delegates, was also invited to the United Nations headquarters in New York.

Later, when he greeted Nixon at the airport in Beijing, Wang Hairong stood behind him and witnessed this historic meeting.

In December 1978, her working relationship was transferred from *** to ** Organization Department, and then entered ** Party School for further study.

In 1984, she was appointed as the deputy director of the Counselor's Office, although the position was not as high as the vice minister, but she still retained the treatment of the vice minister.

Throughout her political career, as a woman, she can shine in the world, from the official to the deputy ministerial level, her personal ability must be very outstanding, and she has also contributed an indispensable force to China's diplomatic cause.

On September 9, 2017, this legendary female diplomat passed away from her life. At her memorial service, there were many descendants of old revolutionaries, such as Li Min, the daughter of ***, Mao Xinyu, grandson Mao Xinyu, and Liu Jian, the grandson of ***.

Many attentive people also found that the day she died was actually the same day as ***. And her relationship with *** is also very close.

So, what does she have to do with ***?

In 1971, Wang Hairong was promoted to deputy director of the protocol department, and her relationship with *** was also very unusual.

Not only that, in the 70s of the last century, Wang Hairong was also known as one of the "Five Golden Flowers", and participated in almost all the meetings with political leaders from visiting countries in the last few years.

It can be seen that she played an important role in her political career in her later years, and she also trusted her very much.

So, why would ** trust her so much? What is the relationship between her and ***?

In fact, the two are still related. Her grandfather was ***'s cousin. After all, she should be ***'s cousin and granddaughter.

Her father, Wang Deheng, was a martyr who worked underground in Taoyuan, Hunan Province, before being killed by the Kuomintang.

When Wang Hairong was in middle school, he followed his grandfather to Beijing, and went in and out of Zhongnanhai many times, and was cared for.

Since then, she has developed infinite admiration for this outstanding leader of the new China, and is determined to enter the university, hoping to become a useful pillar of the country in the future.

But the blow of reality was merciless, and she failed her first college entrance examination. But she didn't give up, but continued to take the exam again, working and studying on her own.

During this time, she found a job as an apprentice in a chemical factory, and only told her grandfather Wang Jifan after completing all the formalities.

In fact, Wang Jifan is very famous in Hunan, and he was still serving in *** at that time, Wang Hairong, as his granddaughter, is a veritable famous family.

But instead of using her grandfather's position for personal gain, she worked in a small chemical factory for several years.

In the past few years, she has witnessed the development of the times, and she has a lot of thoughts and insights, and often writes her feelings into an article.

Because she didn't know what her level was, she didn't blindly publish it, but packed up the written article and wrote a letter to Ye Zilong, the secretary of ***, asking him to forward it to ***, hoping that *** could take time out of her busy schedule to give some advice.

Two months later, she didn't think she would receive a reply, but she was very excited to learn that *** was going to see her in person.

On October 17, 1960, she went to Zhongnanhai and saw ***, and this meeting made her very impressed.

In the more than 20 pages of manuscripts she sent to ***, there were traces of ***'s revisions, which shows that his old man had read her manuscript and made corrections carefully.

The two talked a lot, from work to study, and by the time she came out of Zhongnanhai, it was already dark.

Within a few days, she published the revised article in the magazine "China Youth", and the revised sentence was also noted by the magazine and publicized.

This conversation made Wang Hairong realize that young people should shoulder heavy responsibilities. She decided to continue her education so that she could contribute more to her country.

Subsequently, after hard work, she was admitted to Beijing Normal University. After graduation, he entered the College of Foreign Chinese for further study.

After completing her studies, she began her magnificent diplomatic career.

During his work, he often encouraged Wang Hairong not to forget that he is a descendant of martyrs, and he must inherit the legacy of the martyrs and serve the people well.

After entering the 70s, in the foreign affairs activities of ***, she often served as the translator of *** with another female diplomat, Tang Wensheng, and participated in a lot of *** reception work.

After her death, she wept bitterly in front of the old man's body. And this day is September 9, 1976. Who would have thought that on the same day 41 years later, Wang Hairong also died of illness in Beijing.

The strange thing is that Wang Hairong was unmarried all his life and had no descendants until his death.

Why is that?

As one of the five golden flowers, Wang Hairong has never married in his life and has no offspring.

However, that doesn't mean she's unpopular and no one pursues her. On the contrary, Wang Hairong, who is over the age of six, has also received a lot of bold courtship love letters.

It's just that these love letters are locked in the cabinet by her, and she is not entangled with the opposite sex in love.

Why would she do that? How was her life after not being a diplomat?

In 1984, after she was appointed deputy director of the Counselor's Office, she worked in this position until her retirement.

Because she worked in *** before, she was influenced by her work style, and she also did the work she was in charge of.

It is said that on one occasion, the counselor's office had to receive several Chinese-American ladies, hold a symposium, and clean up the lounge and conference room.

After the staff finished cleaning, Wang Hairong personally checked everywhere, and when he saw that it was not cleaned in place, he smiled and asked the staff to pay attention next time, and picked up a rag to wipe it clean.

It is not difficult to see that she takes her work very seriously, and she is not overly harsh on careless employees, but patiently reminds.

At that time, she was over 60 years old, but she still maintained the frankness of her youth, not only outspoken, but also liked to joke with the staff.

Once, she chatted with her employees and joked, "Which of you will give me a trick to make a little money?"”

When the people present heard it, they didn't know if she really wanted to know how to make a fortune, so some people also joked: "You know so many people, find some connections to get an approval, and you will be able to make money soon?"”

When Wang Hairong heard this, his face suddenly became serious, and he rejected this proposal: "Don't starve to death for ill-gotten gains."

Later, some people suggested that she write a memoir, or submit articles to newspapers and magazines, write about her deeds of working beside ***, and earn some manuscript fees easily.

But Wang Hairong still declined. Although I don't know why she made such a joke, it is said that dozens of newspapers and periodicals really asked her for manuscripts later, and some newspapers gave very high manuscript fees.

However, she has not been able to submit an article. As for the reason, outsiders have no way of knowing.

There is no shortage of enthusiastic people at work, and some people care about her work and begin to care about her life, and they are puzzled and curious about her being over 60 years old but still not married.

Actually, there are many reasons why she doesn't get married. When she was in college, she only thought about serving the motherland after completing her studies, and she was still young, so she didn't spend time and energy on falling in love.

Later, after working, because my career has been on the rise, I am very busy at work. Although she is not a high-sighted person, it is also very difficult to find a match for her.

By the time she began to have gray hair on her head, she was already used to living a single life, and she had no intention of getting married.

However, although she was not married and had no offspring, her old age was not deserted. She has many relatives and friends, and in their company, Wang Hairong spent a happy old age.

In order to be filial to her mother, who has gone through vicissitudes, she also hired a nanny for the elderly in her later years, and often bought vegetables to cook for her old mother, and the mother and daughter were happy.

Therefore, even if he does not get married, Wang Hairong's old age is happy.

At the same time, in China's diplomatic history, her name will inevitably have a place.
