Good urban bronze sculptures can become an important symbol of the city and improve the popularity of the city, such as Qingdao's "May Wind", Chicago's "Cloud Gate", Denmark's "Mermaid" sculpture, etc. But if you want to create a good urban sculpture, you must have a reasonable layout. Regarding how to rationally lay out urban sculptures, I have summarized the following three points of caution:
1: From the perspective of layout, a good urban sculpture can be roughly divided into three parts: point, line and surface. On the "point", it is mainly distributed in front of large public buildings and important open spaces in the city. The sculptures in front of the public building are mainly set to highlight the nature and style of the main body of the building, and to serve as a guide to the entrance space. Urban open spaces include roads, street green spaces, squares, parks, and waterfront spaces. The sculpture is primarily used as a landmark and cultural display.
2: On the "line", there are mainly sculptures along the main street and strip green spaces, and now there are not many sculptures of this type. Such as a series of sculptures in Shenbei New District, a series of sculptures in the Industrial Corridor of Jianshe West Road in Tiexi District, etc.
3: In terms of "face", the current theme parks are basically based on the theme park, arranging a series of sculptures that can highlight the theme of the park and serve the functions of cultural publicity, display and science popularization. Such as Puhe Xibo Park series of sculptures, Zhongshan Park series of sculptures, etc.
