Chu Jing. Recently, I read Mr. Jing Quan's new book "Students of Peking University's Foreign Propaganda Phase I", and I was spontaneously happy and moved.
Mr. Jing Quan is two months older than me, and we have worked in the same agency compound, and we have similar resumes: we have also engaged in journalism, and we have also served as the editor-in-chief of publications. The difference is that he received formal training in the foreign propaganda class of the Department of International Politics of Peking University from 1987 to 1988, so he has a relatively deep theory and experience in external propaganda work.
Through the vivid and touching examples of this group of external propaganda people, the work shows the magnificent picture of China's all-round and three-dimensional comprehensive propaganda to the world in the early stage of China's reform and opening up, which is encouraging and inspiring.
The first phase of the external propaganda class of Peking University was in the mid-to-late 80s of the last century, a special class jointly organized by the ** external propaganda group and Peking University. The nomination of world heritage sites is a major activity implemented since the reform and opening up. World Heritage is divided into five categories: World Cultural Heritage, World Natural Heritage, World Natural and Cultural Heritage, World Cultural Landscape and Intangible Cultural Heritage. China joined the World Heritage Convention Organization in 1985 and began the process of "inscription" in 1987, and has so far acquired 56 World Heritage sites, and "Quanzhou: World Maritime Commerce and Trade Center of Song and Yuan Dynasty China" is the last and 56th World Heritage Site.

Situ Shuang is the wife of Wan Yongxiang, the Chinese ambassador to Morocco, and Jing Quan devotes a lot of pen and ink to his relationship with Situ Shuang. Situ Shuang's father, Situ Qiao, graduated from Yenching University in his early years, and was a close friend of Mr. Lu Xun. Situ Shuang's mother is a talented girl from Fudan University. She herself inherited the genes of her parents, and when she accompanied her husband to the Moroccan Embassy in the Czech Republic, she lectured on "Chinese Art History" in Africa, France, North America and other places, and was awarded the Knight of the Order of Merit by the King of Morocco and the French Palm Leaf Academic Medal. When the Huaping County "Children's Home" orphanage was established, she also volunteered to serve as the director of the hospital, and over the years, she has donated 450,000 yuan to poor students, disaster victims and education. There are many outstanding examples among the students of the first phase of Peking University's external propaganda. In addition to their outstanding performance at work, they also have many achievements in their personal careers. Ni Xuejian, from Bayi Film Studio, is the only active-duty soldier in the class who is recommended by the military system to wear a military uniform. His hometown of Huai'an, Jiangsu Province, has produced many celebrities in history, such as Han Xin, Marquis of Huaiyin during the struggle between Chu and Han, Liang Hongyu, the heroine of the Southern Song Dynasty, and Guan Tianpei, the national hero of the Qing Dynasty.
In 1968, Ni Xuejian, who had just turned 18, joined the army and was promoted to tank commander in 9 months. He joined the party in July 1970 and was transferred to Bayi Film Studio in September. During his work in the studio, he went to the Beijing National Library on Wenjin Street on the west side of Beihai Park for 13 consecutive years to read and recharge, made hundreds of thousands of words of reading notes, and published a large number of essays, essays, creative essays, director's notes, reviews, etc., and participated in the filming of many films such as the movie "Shining Red Star", and later changed careers to become a director. Reading "Peking University External Propaganda Students", I feel that Mr. Jing Quan is writing a group of heroes, and readers can feel that Mr. Jing Quan wrote the book "Foreign Propaganda" with enthusiasm. This is the first time that a literary work has been written in the form of reportage to reflect the theme of external propaganda, and it is also the first time that a work that describes the collective deeds of a class. In this sense, Mr. Jingquan's book is an innovation and breakthrough. Mr. Jing Quan used passionate words to introduce to the whole society the advanced typical group portrait of such a special class in the first phase of Peking University's external propaganda, so that more people can understand and remember this history, and understand that China (Peking University) once had such a class and such a group of people.
