What is Conductive TPE?

Conductive TPE is a conductive thermoplastic elastomer. TPE is a thermoplastic elastomer, while conductive TPE is a conductive filler added to the TPE base material to give it conductive properties. Conductive TPE achieves conductive properties by adding conductive fillers, such as carbon nanotubes, metal particles, etc., to TPE resins. This conductive material is often used in the manufacture of parts and components that require conductive properties to provide electrostatic protection and conductive functionality. Conductive TPE is widely used in electronics, electrical, automobile, home appliances and other fields. It is commonly used in the manufacture of parts for electrostatic sensitive equipment, anti-static packaging materials, conductive pipes and connectors, etc., to provide reliable anti-static protection and conductive functions. In addition, conductive TPE can also be applied to electronic housings, touch buttons, sensors and other fields to meet the requirements of conductivity and mechanical properties of high-performance products.

What is conductive TPE?

TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) material is an organic polymer material, because the atoms share outer electrons, it requires a large energy transition into the low vacancy state for electrical conduction, this probability is extremely low, resulting in a very high resistivity, called an insulator. Through modification, the surface resistivity of TPE material can be reduced from more than 10 12 to 10 2-10 5, and the free conversion from conductor to insulator can be realized to meet the needs of customers. According to the surface resistance value of the material, TPE can be divided into the following three grades in terms of dielectric properties:

1.If the surface resistance value of the product reaches 10 or more to the 13th power, it is an insulating grade TPE.

2.The surface resistance value of the product reaches 10 between the 5th and 12th power, which is anti-static grade TPE.

3.If the surface resistance value of the product reaches 10 to the 5th power or less, it is conductive TPE.

Conductive TPE has the following characteristics:

1.Conductivity: By adding conductive fillers, conductive TPE can effectively conduct electricity, provide an electrostatic discharge path, and avoid problems caused by static accumulation and discharge.

2.Elasticity: Conductive TPEs have excellent elasticity and flexibility, making them suitable for applications that require good mechanical properties.

3.Processability: Conductive TPE is easy to process and mold, and complex parts and components can be manufactured through extrusion molding, injection molding and other processes.

4.Chemical resistance: Conductive TPE has a certain resistance to general chemicals and can resist corrosion to a certain extent.
