Insurance powder, also known as sodium dithionite, is a common reducing agent, which is widely used in textile, papermaking, medicine and food industries. However, the production process produces a large amount of wastewater, which contains a large amount of contaminants such as salts, sulfides and organic matter. If this wastewater is discharged without treatment, it will cause serious pollution to the environment. Therefore, the treatment process of insurance powder wastewater is particularly important.

Insurance powder wastewater treatment process

Pretreatment: The purpose of pretreatment is to remove large particles of suspended solids and impurities in the wastewater and create favorable conditions for subsequent treatment. Commonly used pretreatment methods include precipitation, filtration, and centrifugation. Through pretreatment, the load of subsequent treatment can be reduced and the processing efficiency can be improved.

Chemical oxidation: The chemical oxidation method is to oxidize and decompose the organic matter in the wastewater into harmless substances or easily degradable intermediate products by adding oxidants to the wastewater. Commonly used oxidants include ozone, chlorine, sodium hypochlorite, etc. The chemical oxidation method has the advantages of high treatment efficiency and wide range of application, but it also has the problem of high treatment cost.

Biological treatment method: The biological treatment method converts the organic matter in the wastewater into harmless substances or intermediate products that are easy to separate through the metabolic action of microorganisms. Biological treatment methods mainly include activated sludge method, biofilm method, anaerobic biological treatment and other methods. The biological treatment method has the advantages of low treatment cost and simple operation, but the treatment time is long and the requirements for water quality are high.

Adsorption method: The adsorption method uses the adsorption of adsorbents to remove pollutants in wastewater. Commonly used adsorbents include activated carbon, zeolite, diatomaceous earth, etc. The adsorption method has the advantages of simple operation and high removal efficiency, but the regeneration and replacement cost of adsorbent is high.

Combined process: In order to improve the treatment efficiency and treatment effect of insurance powder wastewater, a combination of multiple processes is often used for treatment. Common combination processes include "chemical oxidation + precipitation", "biological treatment + adsorption", "chemical oxidation + biological treatment", etc. The combined process can give full play to the advantages of various processes, improve the treatment efficiency and reduce the treatment cost.
