Nowadays, the cross-border e-commerce industry is increasingly becoming a new driving force for China's foreign trade, and it is also standing at an important time node from extensive development to intensive cultivation and then to high-quality development. Cindy Tai, global vice president of Amazon and executive president of Amazon Global Selling Asia Pacific, said that the definition of the next stage of export cross-border e-commerce by Amazon Global Selling is "new industrial layout and high-quality going to sea".
To this end, at this cross-border summit, Amazon Global Selling released five strategic priorities for 2024, namely, empowering brand building, simplifying global operations, strengthening global ** chain solutions, driving global expansion, and improving local services. Especially in terms of improving local services, Amazon will comprehensively upgrade its existing service system in China through the "4+1" strategy in 2024, that is, the upgrading of four major service capabilities and the establishment of an innovation center, so as to promote the acceleration of the transformation of more industrial belts through cross-border e-commerce and help Chinese sellers leap to the high-end of the global value chain.
The first is the upgrading of regional service capabilities. Amazon Global Selling announced the establishment of four regional centers in East China, South China, West China and North China, and the new Central China Regional Center. Through the establishment of five regional centers, Amazon Global Selling has further enhanced its regional coverage and layout in China, and can respond to the actual needs of local sellers more efficiently and in a targeted manner. At the same time, relying on the five regional centers, we will continue to deepen the various measures of the "Amazon Global Store Industry Belt Set Sail", and work closely with local ** to jointly promote the integrated development of "cross-border e-commerce + industrial belt".
The second is the upgrading of sellers' training capabilities. Since its opening in March 2023, the Amazon Global Selling Asia-Pacific Seller Training Center has held more than 2,000 training activities and trained more than 6 million people.
