According to Japan's NHK Broadcasting Association, a tragedy occurred at Kagura Ski Resort in Yuzawa Town, Niigata Prefecture. A female tourist from China accidentally fell while skiing and was buried in deep snow. Rescuers immediately launched a search after receiving a request for help from her companions, but unfortunately, the woman lost signs of life when she was taken to the hospital and was pronounced dead that night.

The deceased was a 27-year-old Chinese tourist surnamed Fu. According to her friends who skied with her, they witnessed Ms. Foo's fall while skiing, but they were unable to help in time because they were not skilled in skiing and panicked about the situation.

The accident occurred on a slope that requires a certain amount of skiing skills, and there is a risk of avalanches in the area due to the recent heavy snowfall, so the ski resort has banned visitors from entering. At present, an investigation into the circumstances of the accident is underway to determine the details of the accident.

This unfortunate incident reminds us once again of the importance of safety measures when it comes to winter outdoor activities such as skiing. Especially for beginner skiers, it is more important to do it under the guidance of a professional to ensure their own safety. At the same time, ski resorts should also strengthen safety management, and take clear marking and restriction measures for high-risk areas to prevent similar tragedies from happening.

We express our deep condolences to the victims and our sincerest condolences to their families. I hope that such tragedies will not happen again, so that everyone's travel can be safe and happy.
