Urumqi, Dec. 24 (Xinhua) -- The winter leap of Keketuohai, a golden mountain on the snow.
Xinhua News Agency reporters Yu Sihui, Lu Xingji, and Ma Kai.
There is an endless stream of off-road vehicles with license plates from all over the country, and the orange lights on the outer walls of the rows of "cabins" reflect the snow-white earth, and the melodious song of "The Shepherd of Keketuohai" comes from the house. Such a lively and romantic scene is happening every cold winter night in the village of Talat.
Talat Village is located in Keketuohai Town, Fuyun County, Altay Prefecture, Xinjiang, and is an agricultural and animal husbandry village. In winter, there is not much that the villagers can do, and their income** is limited.
In 2020, Keketuohai International Ski Resort officially opened, completely changing the winter in Talat Village. Due to the advantages of long snow season, good snow quality, large drop and low wind, many ski enthusiasts list this ski resort as one of the "paradise" of skiing, and the completion of the ski resort and the arrival of a large number of skiers have made the village of Talat busy in winter.
In the "Horseback Home" homestay in Talat Village, Ardaq Azati, who is assisting his mother in taking care of her business, told reporters that since the family opened the homestay, the family's annual income can now reach 100,000 yuan, which was unimaginable before. With the New Year's Day and Chinese New Year holidays approaching, the village of Talat is about to enter a peak of ski tourism, and guests from the south have already booked rooms for January next year.
The "House on Horseback", with various Kazakh decorations on the wall and a table full of Kazakh specialties such as Baulsak, is a microcosm of the development of homestays in Talat Village. Nazigul Razdan, a cultural and sports specialist in Keketuohai Town and the head of the Talat Village Tourist Service Center, said: "At the beginning, our villagers were afraid of transformation and worried that the investment in tourism development would be too large and would not be effective. We have adopted the form of 'villagers ordering classes and branch food delivery', and carried out targeted skills training such as catering and room service, which has greatly improved the level of tourism services. In accordance with the development idea of 'one household and one characteristic', 10 homestay demonstration households have been built, which provides a model for villagers to develop homestays. ”
In fact, not only Talat Village, but also many residents of Fuyun County have benefited from the snow resort. In addition to operating a homestay, working in a ski resort has also become the choice of many Keketuohai people.
Maiyirbek Chihesi, a 26-year-old Kazakh from the village of Talat, has been working there since graduating from high school in 2012. In 2018, when I heard that a ski resort had been built in front of my home, I returned to my hometown to find a job.
In the beginning, I was in charge of driving snowmobiles at ski resorts, and then I got my ski instructor certificate and became an instructor. Now, I'm the captain of the ski patrol team. "I'm very satisfied with doing what I love at my doorstep." ”
The completion of the ski resort has brought great job and development opportunities to the local residents, and probably more than 75% of my colleagues are locals. Everyone is very happy to come and work at the resort. Kulichati Muheyati is from Keketuohai Town, and she returned to her hometown in 2020 as soon as she graduated from university to become a ropeway driver in Keketuohai International Ski Resort.
Snowmaking supervisor Haiyilatbek Musai is from Tiemaike Township, Fuyun County, and his wife both work in the ski resort, and their combined monthly income has exceeded 10,000 yuan. Iratbek bluntly said that he is very satisfied with his current life and that the whole family is very happy. "Both husband and wife work close to home, and both parents and children are very well taken care of. ”
The homes of the local employees are not too far from the ski resort, and they can take care of their families, so they are very stable. Many of the residents here are Kazakhs, they are in good physical condition, they learn things very quickly, and because of the climate, many people have learned to ski since childhood, which is also a great advantage. Wang Miaomiao, deputy general manager of Keketuohai International Ski Resort, said that since the opening of the ski resort, more than 200 local farmers and herdsmen have been directly employed, and more than 7,000 people have been flexibly employed.
