Hi everyone, I am a diabetic and today I would like to share my experience with you to let you know about the prevention and management of diabetes and how to start with blood sugar records for a healthy life. In my experience, blood glucose records have played a crucial role.
The first time I found out I had diabetes was during a health check-up. I was only 40 years old at the time, and although I was a little thirsty and drank a lot of water, I always thought it was just because I liked to drink more water. However, as soon as the results of the medical examination came out, I realized that the situation was much more serious than I had imagined. I was surprised to find that my blood sugar level was 78mmol L, which is the higher stage of diabetes. From that moment on, I began to pay attention to my diet, exercise, and health management, and strictly followed the doctor's advice. First, I started recording my blood sugar levels once a day in the morning, noon, evening, and before bedtime. For a period of time, I will look at the changes in blood sugar values of the previous day every day, classify and sort them out, such as the average number every morning, the average number before going to bed every day, etc., and mark different numbers in the calendar for reference and analysis by myself and my doctor. In terms of controlling my diet, I began to avoid high-sugar, high-fat, high-calorie foods, increase high-fiber foods such as vegetables and fruits, and consume a variety of proteins, especially plant-based proteins, such as beans, tofu, rye bread, etc. In terms of exercise, I chose light aerobic exercise, such as walking, jogging, yoga, etc., for 30 minutes a day, so that my body can get enough exercise, and help myself relax and reduce stress through exercise. In addition to this, paying attention to changes in blood sugar levels is also an important aspect of diabetes prevention. I use the medical equipment recommended by the doctor to monitor my blood sugar, record it every day, communicate and discuss with the doctor in a timely manner, and adjust my diet plan and exercise plan according to the changes in blood sugar. I was very relieved and satisfied with the results of my recent check-up that my blood sugar levels had started to gradually return to the normal range.
In short, as a diabetic, controlling my blood sugar levels and living a healthy life has become a part of my life, which makes me healthier, happier, and have a higher quality of life. Keeping a blood sugar record is one of my great ways to prevent diabetes and one of the keys to our efforts and explorations to maintain a healthy lifestyle. I hope that more and more people can start with blood sugar records, gradually change our life style and Xi, and better maintain our physical health and happiness.
