The sand control hero "Aruncang".

That Jirigala (Aru Korqin Banner).

The story of Yugong moving mountains, we are a household name, the spirit of Yugong has educated generation after generation, and in today's developed network and diversified economy, there are also such people, for their own beliefs, for their hometown to be a little greener, in order to leave more green mountains for future generations, silently pay, sand control, afforestation and grass cultivation for decades, the original intention does not change, will be sand control as if for their own goal. Doing boring and unprofitable work every day, he is Aruncang.

Aruncang: Mongolian, born in 1956, is a native of Huagentaragacha, Zhagastai Town, Alu Korqin Banner, Chifeng City. A native herder. Since he was a child, the old people in his family taught him to love his home, love the grassland, regard the land he lives in as his eyes, and cherish every grass and tree here. Ignorant, he kept these words firmly in his heart.

In 1973, when he graduated from junior high school at the age of sixteen, he also returned home to work as a farmer when the young people had gone to the countryside. Since then, he has left himself in this grassland. When he returned to his hometown to farm, he herded cattle and sheep in the brigade, herded cattle and sheep all year round, was diligent, hard-working, and in the places where he had been nomadic, he carefully observed the changes in every mountain and water and recorded them. During the drought and flood season, he was able to find fertile grassland for his cattle and sheep, minimizing the loss of the production team. When someone asked him how he found it, he smiled silently, knowing that this was the living environment given to the herders by Mother Earth. I also understood why the old man made him love this grassland. He respected science, had his own ideas, combined with the knowledge of animal husbandry in the book, and asked the old man in Gachari for nomadic skills. Explored a set of their own nomadic animal husbandry methods.

In the eighties, the spring breeze of reform blew into the steppe, and in 1983, in order to increase economic benefits, the goats of Zagastai began to improve. When Aruncang heard the news, he was very happy. Ignite hope in your heart. He was more diligent than others, listening to the radio and reading publications on animal husbandry in his free time. Don't miss a chance to learn. When someone else's goat is worth 60 yuan, his goat can be worth more than 100 yuan. When someone else's cashmere income is only 1,000 yuan, his cashmere income has exceeded 10,000 yuan. In order to ensure quality, he keeps the number of goats at 100 per year. The slaughter rate is around 50. Reform and opening up has allowed him to live a prosperous life, have his own livestock, and have a certain economic foundation.

Economic development, people live and work in peace and contentment, but with the passage of time, people continue to grow, people continue to predatory land, use grass pastures and so on. As a result, the desertification of the grassland and the decline of the water level are becoming more and more serious. Ah Runcang saw the grassland shrinking little by little, and his heart ached and fell silent. Is this the happy life you yearn for?Is it the wealth that our Mongols have left to future generations?

In 1998, he made a decision that his family did not understand, and decided to contract desertified grassland, tree planting, afforestation, and grass raising. The family understands his stubborn character, and no one can stop him. He approached the Gacha leaders many times, talked about his ideas and actual situation of desertification control, afforestation and grass cultivation, and asked the Gacha leaders to agree to his application with sufficient reasons and determination.

On April 28, 1998, the two parties signed a contract, the specific content of which was that Gacha agreed that he would contract 4,000 acres of seriously desertified grassland, and that he would be responsible for all the investment, labor, maintenance, and protection costs for desertification control. Starting from the eleventh year, 4,000 yuan of contracting fees will be paid to Gacha every year. He agreed and signed and sealed. Since then, Aruncang has set up an ancient yurt in the wild and started a new journey of sand control and afforestation. His only tools at that time were a horse and a rubber-wheeled cart. In order to improve the technology of sand control and afforestation, he consulted the teachers of the forestry station, read relevant books, mastered the knowledge of selecting trees and seedlings, and walked dozens of miles every day. Some people even laughed at him, "Since ancient times, they have been grazing like this, and you are stupid to control the sand alone."

In the face of reality, Aruncang did not discourage, let alone give up the original intention of sand control, and worked hard day after day to change the contracted grass pasture little by little. From the family's incomprehension to the understanding of the labor of sand control and afforestation, it gave Aruncang unlimited motivation and selfless work.

In those years, he invested all his income and savings in desertification control and afforestation, and many things happened in the process of desertification control. Once, when he used a horse-drawn carriage to pull barbed wire, the car overturned, he was crushed under the barbed wire, and his leg was injured and he couldn't get out. After only eight days in the hospital, he secretly rushed home to buy saplings with the savings in medicine and plant the saplings and seal the pasture before the rainy season.

The wind in the spring was strong, the sand swallowed up the fence, barbed wire, and small saplings, and all the labor of the year was completely destroyed. With his persistent spirit to infect the people around him, he continued to work hard, sold the cashmere raised by his family, bought trees and fences again, sealed the sandy land, replenished saplings, carried saplings from more than 20 miles away into the serious desertification area, planted trees and watered 、、、 such hardships only he knows.

In the past ten years, Aruncang has invested more than 100,000 yuan in sand control and afforestation, without taking a penny of national funds and occupying any projects, fixing the mobile sand dunes with hard sweat, experiencing countless hardships, and turning the barren sand into an oasis.

After years of exploration, he changed the habit of planting trees in spring and autumn, insisted on planting trees in spring, summer and autumn to ensure the survival rate, after more than 20 years of hard work, the former desertified grass pasture was dressed in green, and the trees were luxuriant, the flowers were in full bloom, the streams and springs, poplars, elms, caraganas, willows and other forests covered an area of 2,000 acres. He did it, and through the unremitting efforts of an ordinary herdsman, he turned the sand sea into an oasis and left the green waters and green mountains for future generations. This is the real wealth, the lifeblood of our herdsmen.
