As Luxman's 100th anniversary approached, Luxman followed suit with the launch of its flagship turntable and integrated amplifier as well as a new flagship preamp.
The C-10X is the successor to the C-900U, released in 2013, but with a completely redesigned amplifier. This new flagship model is designed to deliver the audio quality that next-generation components should deliver by the 100th anniversary of Luxman in 2025.
In the amplifier section, Luxman's new LiS amplified feedback engine is used for the first time in the M-10X flagship power amplifier, which is installed in a control amplifier for the first time. Under exactly the same operating conditions, there are four perfectly balanced preamplifier modules.
Luxman's ingenious electronically controlled attenuator, the LECUA, is connected directly to the preamp section, converting the volume control operation to 05dB of micro-incremental attenuation. The rotary encoder system is driven by a sleek volume knob with a built-in heavyweight damping mechanism, mounted on the front panel.
The C-10X is equipped with LECUA-EX, which is designed to reproduce the feel of traditional audio equipment, but with modern technology under the hood and smooth and tactile volume control while completely suppressing the deterioration of sound quality.
The exterior is a striking contrast between the authentic sandblasted white veneer front panel inherited from the C-900U and the fresh hairline finish top panel.
The Luxman C-10X preamplifier has a suggested retail price of £16,000, which is about 145,000 yuan.
