The famous pedagogue Sukhomlinsky said: "An atmosphere of love, respect and worship of books is the essence of school and educational work." He emphasized the importance of reading for schools, teachers and students, and achieved the effect of "spring breeze and rain, moisturizing things silently" by cultivating children's reading ability and interest in reading.
Reading is an activity that spreads the noble spirit, which can bring students a sense of belonging, refuge, and home, so that students can broaden their horizons through reading, cultivate language ability and reading skills, and more importantly, let students become detached, their spirit becomes bright, and their beliefs and beliefs are established.
In this issue, we will take a look at how to create a scholarly atmosphere on campus through a corridor case.
Design ideas
We have received a commission from a school, which is a newly built school, and the principal hopes to create a bookish cultural atmosphere of "reading oneself and reading the world" with the theme of "reading", so that children can feel the infiltration, infection and edification of scholarly culture, and realize the effect of entering the Zhilan room for a long time.
The teaching building has four floors, and according to the attributes of the school and the spirit of "moistening education" of the school, we give each floor a different cultural meaning: the first floor emphasizes the formation of habits, the second floor is classical literature, the third floor is famous stories, and the fourth floor is world famous books.
We have specially designed three cultural carriers: leaves, which are the concrete embodiment of the school's philosophy of "making a beautiful leaf", implying self-examination;Books, allegorical texts to carry the Tao, through a large number of reading to understand the reason, distinguish right from wrong, know good and evil; The light bulb, which symbolizes new ideas and creativity, is a symbol of enlightenment.
Read yourself, read the world
Through the formation of reading habits, reading a good book, reading sharing and exchange, and reading to broaden their horizons, we design so that children can immerse themselves in a strong bookish atmosphere and achieve their all-round development.
The habit of reading is formed
The corridor on the first floor takes cultivating reading habits and cherishing reading time as the theme, and tells the children's level, method and meaning of reading, so as to cultivate students' good habits of loving, reading and understanding reading. Reading is a long-term, cumulative process, and allowing children to develop the habit of reading will benefit them for life.
Read a good book
Chinese literature is a treasure in the treasure house of world literature, listening to the distant historical echoes from classic literature, feeling the eternal artistic charm, connecting the severed cultural bloodline, and then restoring the rich and immortal spiritual life worthy of our pride. We introduced children to ancient Chinese classics based on time, so as to broaden their reading horizons and cultivate their cultural confidence.
Sharing and exchange of reading
Reading a good book is talking to many noble people", in this corridor, we introduced Chinese celebrities and stories to children, and set an example for children to read by immersing themselves in celebrity stories.
Reading is a world of reading
In the corridor on the fourth floor, we introduced the world's famous books to the children, through reading foreign works, seeing the world through the eyes of others, and understanding the life, thoughts and emotions of people in different countries, different cultures and different historical backgrounds, so that the children can absorb the essence of world literature and accumulate knowledge power.
By creating a personalized reading environment and building a new reading scene, we create a good reading atmosphere on campus, so that students can achieve multi-level and differentiated reading on campus, and let the fragrance of books infiltrate every corner of the campus.
