In the long history, there are always some outstanding figures, including many literati who put pen to paper to settle the world, and there are also indispensable military generals who immediately set the tide. But there are only a handful of people who have really reached the all-round talent of civil and military affairs, after all, everyone's energy is limited, whether it is civil rule or martial arts, it is quite good to be able to achieve remarkable achievements in one aspect.
Speaking of civil and military all-rounders, the most impressive should be Xin Qijian of the Song Dynasty. In the Song Dynasty poetry circle, Xin Qiji is regarded as the leader of the bold school of lyricists, comparable to Su Shi, and the two are called "Su Xin". However, when Xin Qiji was young, he was a military general, and he could lead more than 50 people to attack the enemy camp of tens of thousands of people. Therefore, Xin Qiji was praised by later generations as: "Wen can raise the pen to settle the world, and Wu can go to the horse to determine the world".
In fact, in the Tang Dynasty, there was also a well-known figure of all-round literary and military talent, he was the general and poet Gao Biao of the Tang Dynasty. Gao Biao was born in a family of Xingwu, his grandfather was Gao Chongwen, a famous general in the Tang Xianzong period, and he himself was also a famous general, and eventually became a generation of famous generals in the late Tang Dynasty. Moreover, he has liked literature since he was a child, and his poems are excellent, quite literary, and he has written many excellent poems, and his poems are included in a total volume of "All Tang Poems".
Among Gao Yu's poems, the two poems that were widely sung by later generations are "Summer in the Mountain Pavilion" and "To the Snow". Coincidentally, these two poems, one is written in summer, cool and smart; One poem writes about winter, and the snow flutters lightly. Among them, the original text of the poem "To the Snow" is as follows:
When six flying flowers enter the house,
Sit and watch the green bamboo turn into a branch.
Now it's good to look at the tall building
Cover all the evil paths in the world.
The gist of the poem is:
Snowflakes flutter and fly into the window, and this moment is the most beautiful moment.
I sat quietly in front of the window and watched the snowflakes cover the poles and bamboos and turn into white branches, and the whole world became brighter.
Now, it's time to climb the tall building and look into the distance.
All the treacherous forks in the road in the world were covered with heavy snow, and what unfolded in front of me was a vast and boundless white world.
Gao Yu's song "To the Snow" is a seven-word quatrain that sings about snow.
The whole poem first describes the scene of snowflakes flying into the window, sitting and watching the green bamboo turn into branches, telling his love for this white world after the snow. Then, through the description of his own climbing and looking into the distance, the scene after the snow on the road, he expressed his hope that the snow can cover all the sins in the world and make the world as white and beautiful as snow.
The whole poem is from the scene into the love, the love from the scene, the scene is dyed with love, the scenery is expressed, the observation is meticulous, the description is vivid, the narrative is discussed, the chest is directly expressed, the words are shallow and deep, the meaning is long, the scene is written first, and then the lyricism shows the subtle changes in the natural scenery.
All in all, although Gao Biao's poem is not the best Yongxue poem, it is also written in a unique style, the first two sentences of the poem can also be deducted, but it is still a mediocre pen, and the last two sentences are brilliant, especially the concluding sentence: cover all the evil roads in the world. What does the snow bring to the earth? Many poets say that it is poetry, beauty, and cold, but Gao Biao is ingenious, and he sees the snow covering the earth, which arouses emotion and expectation, and sincerely hopes that the snow will cover all the treacherous roads of the world. Reading poetry is like reading the poet's state of mind at that time, watching the snow from a high point is actually seeing your own heart, with dissatisfaction, indignation, and more beautiful wishes.
