Hansjett Heumann's Modern Little Sonata (3 movements) (with audio recording, piano recital: Zhao Jian).
Heuman has composed many original piano works, and this three-movement "Modern Little Sonata" is a very interesting one. The technical difficulty of the three movements of the whole piece is not great, but the content is a context that represents different periods and styles
First movement: Clementi style.
Clementi (1752-1832) was an Italian composer, pianist, piano instrument maker, publisher, and piano teacher, who composed many piano sonatinas (sonatine). The minor sonata is relative to the sonata because it is short and simple in structure, so it is called a small sonata. It consists of one to three movements, with contrasting themes and contrasting tempo requirements between each movement.
Here, Heumann deliberately uses the composition techniques of the modern piano to imitate the style of the minor sonata more than 200 years ago, and the whole piece is witty, lively and cheerful, and full of rhythm.
Second movement: pop ** style.
Generally speaking, the second movement of a minor sonata is basically a Adagio, and this one is no exception. Although the technique is not too difficult, the melody of the piece is particularly beautiful and touching.
Third movement: Buggi Ugi style.
Boogiewoogie is a fast blues rhythm that has had a great influence on the jazz piano development that followed. When playing, he often plays a fixed bass continuously with his left hand to set off the complex melody of his right hand.
When this piece is played, the left hand should be clean and decisive in order to match the melody of the right hand.
