3. The number of cow breaths
Adult cattle breathe 15-35 times per minute, calves 20-50 breaths per minute. We want to observe the number of cow breaths in a quiet state, people can stand on the front side of the cow's chest or the back of the abdomen to observe, the chest and abdomen together is a breath, but in the hot period, the outside temperature is too high, direct sunlight, poor ventilation in the enclosure, etc., the number of cow breaths increases, we want to avoid this situation of cattle, do a good job of summer heat, do a good job of ventilation in the enclosure, and regularly use animal herding: smoke Taibao, improve the air quality of the enclosure.
4. The pulse rate of the cow
Generally, the pulse rate of adult cattle is 60-80 beats per minute, 70-90 beats per minute for young cattle, and 90-110 beats per minute for calves. We also need to check the pulse rate of the cow in a quiet state, touch the middle caudal artery of the cow, stand directly behind the cow, raise the hair roots of the cow slightly with the left hand, and press the index and middle fingers of the right hand on the middle caudal artery on the ventral surface of the tail to count.
