If nothing else, the Chengdu-Yibin high-speed railway will be put into operation on December 26. This day is a classic day for many major projects to be put into use.
The opening of the Chengdu-Yi high-speed railway has not only expanded the transportation in southern Sichuan, but also opened part of the Chengdu-Kunming section of the Beijing-Kunming corridor to traffic. But what makes it more meaningful is that Tianfu International Airport has high-speed railways in addition to subways, buses, etc.!
After all, through the Chengyi high-speed railway, the people in Yibin, Luzhou, Zigong and other places can take the high-speed bullet train to Tianfu Airport, which not only saves time, but also saves toss.
Previously, it had just become a 70 million-level aviation club city in the country controlled by Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, and Chengdu's position was more stable, right?
Counting Tianfu International Airport, looking at the southwest region, Sichuan, Chongqing, and Guizhou, the three neighboring "two provinces and one city" brothers, all the big airports have railways and set up stations. In addition to Chengdu Tianfu, there are also Chengdu Shuangliu, Chongqing Jiangbei, and Guiyang Longdongbao.
The first high-speed rail station to be opened was Chengdu Shuangliu Airport. At that time, the railway built was also called the Chengmianle Intercity Railway, which was also the first high-speed railway in southwest China. At the end of 2014, the Chengmianle intercity railway was opened, and Shuangliu Airport ushered in the bullet train, which opened the curtain of air-rail intermodal transportation.
Later, because of the construction of the Chengdu-Guizhou high-speed railway, the part of the Chengdu Mianle intercity railway was renamed the Chengdu-Guizhou high-speed railway from the south of Chengdu East, but the fate of Shuangliu Airport Station has not changed, and it still plays a huge role in air-rail intermodal operation.
The following year, in 2015, Guiyang Longdongbao Airport ushered in the second airport railway station in southwest China, as an intermediate station on the Guiguang high-speed railway line, Longdongbao Station provides more transportation options for passengers entering and leaving the airport.
After 7 years, the third airport with a railway station in southwest China followed, that is, Chongqing Jiangbei Airport, and the Chongqing East Ring Line, which was officially opened to traffic on December 30 last year, set up Jiangbei Airport Station under the airport. From Chongqing North Railway Station and Chongqing West Railway Station, you can take the bullet train to and fro between Jiangbei Airport.
In the past 10 years, the large airports in Sichuan, Chongqing and Guizhou in southwest China have all had railway stations, although this is a product of the development of the times, indicating that the construction of comprehensive transportation hubs has gradually become a consensus. Looking at the whole country, there are not many provinces and cities that have this kind of awareness and have already achieved results.
What's even more amazing is that these four airport stations are all under the jurisdiction of the Chengdu Railway Bureau. Among the 18 railway bureaus in the country, all the large airports in the tube have railway stations under the road bureau, and there may only be the Chengdu bureau, right?
Of course, the air-rail combined transport situation of these four airports has been formed, and the bullet trains in operation are also somewhat different. At present, Chengdu Shuangliu Airport has the largest number of bullet trains, with 51 trains. Longdongbao and Jiangbei Airport are slightly worse, with 24 and 4 trips respectively. The reason why there are only 4 trips to Jiangbei Airport may be because the Chongqing East Ring Line is not a railway trunk line, but only a branch line.
Next, how many bullet trains will the Chengyi high-speed railway stop at Tianfu Airport Station? We'll see.
