Zhu Wen (852 912 AD), a native of Dangshan (now Anhui) in Songzhou, ranked third, eldest brother Zhu Quanyu, second brother Zhu Cun, lost his father in his early years, and followed his mother to Liu Chong's family in Xiao County.

At the end of the Tang Dynasty, after the Huangchao uprising in Caozhou, Zhu Wen and his second brother Zhu Cun bid farewell to their mother and joined the Huangchao rebel army.

After the Huangchao rebel army invaded Chang'an, Zhu Wen was reused by Huangchao because of his outstanding military achievements, and in February of the first year of Zhonghe (881), Zhu Wen was appointed as the capital of the southeast camp.

In February of the second year of Zhonghe (882), Huang Chao appointed Zhu Wen as the defense envoy of Tongzhou (now Dali County, Weinan City, Shaanxi Province), and let Zhu Wen attack it on his own.

Hezhong Jiedu made Wang Chongrong lead tens of thousands of horses to besiege Tongzhou, Zhu Wen was defeated, the generals and soldiers were disheartened, and asked Huangchao for help ten times without getting a reply, and heard that the situation of Huangchao's army had plummeted, so he decided to surrender to the Tang army.

In September of the second year of Zhonghe (882), Zhu Wen and his henchmen planned to kill Yan Shi, the overseer of Huangchao, and led the entire Tongzhou army and people to surrender to Wang Chongrong.

Tang Xizong appointed Zhu Wen as the general of Zuojin Wuwei, the deputy envoy of the camp in the river, and gave the name Quanzhong, from then on Zhu Wen led his old troops and the soldiers in the river to fight together in the east and west, all the way unstoppable.

After the death of Tang Xizong, Zhaozong ascended the throne, Zhu Quanzhong was named the king of Dongping because of the merit of eliminating the power of Qin Zongquan of the remnants of Huangchao, and in the first year of Tianfu (901 AD), he was named the king of Liang.

In the first year of Tianyuan (904 AD), Zhu Quanzhong forced Zhaozong to move the capital to Luoyang, and then killed Zhaozong and set up his son Li as the emperor, which was for Tang Aizong.

In the fourth year of the day (907 AD), Zhu Quanzhong abolished Li as the emperor, changed his name to Huang, set the country name as Liang, built the capital Kaifeng, changed the Yuan Kaiping, and was for Liang Taizu.

The Later Liang can be said to be the earliest dynasty in the five dynasties, but the smallest country and the longest maintenance time.
