For CB certification for the mobile power supply, the battery cell needs to have CB: IEC62133 certificate and report, and the whole machine needs to have CB: IEC62368-2018 version CB certificate and report. The CB certification of the power bank needs to meet the IEC62368 standard. This standard is an international electronic product safety standard and applies to home and a wide range of commercial electronic devices.
In the IEC62368 standard, the safety performance of the power bank such as over-voltage, over-current, and over-temperature protection is tested to ensure the performance of the product in high and low temperature environments.
IEC 62133 is an international standard for safety performance specifications and test methods for rechargeable batteries, developed by the International Electrical Commission (IEC). This standard specifies test items for the electrical performance, safety, mechanical properties, environmental suitability, and safety labeling of rechargeable batteries to ensure that the battery remains safe during use and transportation.
1. Apply for CB certification.
Choose an IECEE-accredited certification body.
Provide product information and samples.
Conduct tests and assessments.
Issuance of CB certification certificate.
2. Register for IECEE certificate.
Submit an application: Submit relevant information and an application on IECEE**.
Review and approval: IECEE will review the application and determine if it meets IECEE's requirements. If the requirements are met, IECEE will issue the corresponding IECEE certificate.
3. Apply for SABER customs clearance certificate.
SABER is a product conformity certification required by the Saudi Arabian Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Quality (SASME) and is a mandatory certification to enter the Saudi market. Products exported to Saudi Arabia need to be registered in the SABER system and obtain the corresponding customs clearance certificate.
