Today, we're sharing our GeForce GTX 1650 vs. Radeon RX 6700 XT performance review, and evaluating how much performance you can get if you upgrade from GeForce GTX 1650 to Radeon RX 6700 XT.
1. Parameter comparison
GeForce GTX 1650 was released on April 23, 2019, with a TU117 GPU, based on the Turing architecture, TSMC's 12nm process, with 896 CUDA cores, 56 texture units, 32 raster units, 14 multi-unit stream processors, and 1MB of L2 cache.
The standard operating frequency is 1485 MHz, the maximum operating frequency is 1665 MHz, and it is equipped with 4GB GDDR5 video memory, the memory speed is 8Gbps, the memory bit width is 128 bits, and the memory bandwidth is 1281GB s, FP32 floating-point performance is 2984 TFLOPS with 75W power consumption and an official MSRP of $149.
Released on March 3, 2021, the Radeon RX 6700 XT is based on the RDNA3 architecture, using the N**i22 XT GPU, TSMC's 7nm process, with 2560 shader units, 160 texture units, 64 raster units, 40 compute units, 40 ray tracing units, 3MB of L2 cache and 96MB of L3 cache.
The standard operating frequency is 2321 MHz, the maximum operating frequency is 2581 MHz, and it is equipped with 12GB GDDR6 video memory, with a memory bit width of 192 bits, a memory speed of 16Gbps, and a memory bandwidth of 3840GB s, FP32 floating-point performance of 1321 TFLOPS with 230W power consumption and a MSRP of $479.
2. Benchmark performance comparison
The GeForce GTX 1650 scored 1524 points and the Radeon RX 6700 XT scored 5955 points on the 3DMark Time Spy Extreme platform. The GeForce RTX 3070 has a score of 6549 points, which is less than 600 points higher than the Radeon RX 6700 XT, which puts the Radeon RX 6700 XT at about 3 of the GeForce GTX 16509x, which is lower than the GeForce RTX 3070 and GeForce GTX 1650 (43 times).
However, this is only a purely theoretical value, and the difference between the actual game performance and the final game performance cannot be directly equated.
3. Test platform configuration
The main configurations are as follows:

Seven games will be tested separately below, all in 1440p quality, with the GeForce GTX 1650 on the left and the Radeon RX 6700 XT on the right.

The Radeon RX 6700 XT platform has an average frame rate of 179 fps and a minimum instantaneous frame rate of 150 fps for a frame time of 56ms, CPU usage is 36%, and power consumption is 689W, the temperature is 59 degrees, and the memory usage is 67GB with 91% GPU usage and 56GB, power consumption of 193W, temperature of 49 degrees.
In this game, the Radeon RX 6700 XT platform has 24% higher CPU usage and 0.0% lower memory usage than its rivals8GB, GPU usage is 8% lower, and video memory usage is 16gb。

5. Comparative conclusions
In all of our tests, the GeForce GTX 1650 achieved 99% GPU usage, with the highest CPU usage at 15% when running at full load. In addition, four of the seven games reached the upper limit of 4 video memory usage at the time of testing0GB, the whole is very embarrassing and very struggling.
Obviously, the GeForce GTX 1650 is really not enough for now, and it should be retired, and it shouldn't be difficult anymore, and it can continue to serve on the backup machine, and it is still okay to play some lightweight games.
Based on the above gaming test results, the Radeon RX 6700 XT's overall gaming performance is about 3 of that of the GeForce GTX 16508x, compared to the last time I shared the GeForce RTX 3070 and GeForce GTX 1650 (37 times) is basically flat.
It's also important to note that the Radeon RX 6700 XT (and GeForce RTX 3070) consumes much more power than the GeForce GTX 1650, so make sure your power supply is high enough to upgrade.
