Corteiz is based in London (or London if you're its founder), but its partnership with the Nike Air Max 95 has had a global impact. The collaboration is rumored to last until at least 2024, with a revamp of the long-eclipsed air trainer Huarache.
According to Complex's Brindan Dunne, "multiple" Corteiz x Nike Air Trainer Huarache styles are being designed for fall 2024, adding more to the Oregon-based conglomerate's already packed schedule, according to people familiar with the matter. The silhouette is visually and technically distinctly different from the Air Max collection beloved by Corteiz founder Clint, but its aesthetic fits much of what British street fashion does. In addition, Clint unveiled a photo of himself reworking the 2003 all-around trainer in the "Dominican Republic."
Recently, Amsterdam's Patta has been linked to a running shoe under the brand "Air Huarache" that features the sole of the Pegasus 40. It's not a milestone anniversary for Tinker Hatfield's iconic footwear collection, but the brand may revisit some of its 1990s styles to meet consumer demand for vintage products. Nike continues to innovate with products like the Alphafly 3 marathon shoe, but in 2023 competitors have seen notable success with retro products. The Air Trainer Huarache was last seen in the mid-2010s, and it's going to be a welcome addition to the conversation, and Corteiz is sure to bring a touch of "cool" to the product, promotional materials, and promotions.
