Google, Meta, Qualcomm, Honor, Lenovo to create an open digital ecosystem
According to Reuters news on December 13,Google, Meta, Qualcomm and seven other tech companies will join forces to form the Open Digital Ecosystem Consortium (CODE).to promote the innovative development of Europe. The group said it will actively promote collaboration between coalition members and academia, policymakers and companies on digital openness and how to achieve digital openness in Europe "through the development of the Digital Markets Act (DMA) and the future EU regulatory framework", improve system efficiency and interoperability, facilitate information sharing, and more.
At present, other members of the alliance include Chinese smart device manufacturer Honor and China LenovoFrench augmented reality startup Lynx;Motorola, a U.S. telecommunications equipment manufacturer;British electronics manufacturer nothing;Norwegian technology company Opera and German messaging service provider Wire.
