Everyone has human nature and animal nature, so we are essentially living in aggression for ourselves, so whether it is nature or human beings, the survival of the fittest has never been an unshakable law. The only difference is that human beings are courteous, righteous and honest.
So, you must not think that if you don't attack others, others will not attack you, and you must not think that if you treat others sincerely, others will treat you sincerely.
You don't have to ask, why is there no reward for my efforts, why am I so kind and so miserable?

Therefore, the sages treat the world from the viewpoint of non-action, and teach in a way that does not speak: let all things arise naturally without their origins, do something, but do not add their own inclinations, and do not pretend to be accomplished. It is precisely because of the lack of merit that the merit will last forever.
