The full name of Jianchuan Museum is Chengdu Jianchuan Museum Settlement, which was founded by private entrepreneur Fan Jianchuan. Located in Yingbin Road, Anren Town, Dayi County, a museum town in China, covering an area of 500 acres and a construction area of nearly 100,000 square meters, it is a local comprehensive museum.

On May 5, 2003, Chengdu listed the Jianchuan Museum Settlement Project as a key project of Chengdu People. At the beginning of June 2004, the municipal foundation design of Jianchuan Museum was completed. On August 15, 2005, the Jianchuan Museum was opened. According to the official website of the Jianchuan Museum in March 2022, the museum has a collection of more than 10 million pieces, including 4,790 national precious cultural relics.

Jianchuan Museum has been named as a national first-class museum, a national cultural industry demonstration base, a national patriotism education base, a national 4A-level tourist attraction, a national advanced social organization, and the best cultural museum in China, and won the "Most Cultural Heritage Cultural Project" award from the International Council of Museums in 2016, the Outstanding Contribution Award for China's Tourism Industry (Pegasus Award), the Special Contribution Award for Sichuan Cultural Industry, the 2017 China Leisure and Vacation 5U Award, and the Outstanding Private Enterprise in Sichuan Province. Sichuan Golden Panda Award, Sichuan Provincial National Defense Education Base, Sichuan Provincial Primary and Secondary School Student Research and Practice Education Base and other honorary titles.

Located in Anren Ancient Town, Dayi County, Chengdu, Sichuan Province, Jianchuan Museum is a master plan by Zhang Yonghe, director of the Center for Architecture Research at Peking University, and architect Liu Jiakun. The total area of the settlement is 500 acres, and it is divided into 25 branch museums in three series: Anti-Japanese War, Folk Customs, and Red Age Artworks.

Each of the 25 branches in the Jianchuan Museum Cluster has its own unique characteristics. Among them, the Mainstay Pavilion displays the eight-year War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression of the Communist Party of China and the army under its leadership and the people behind enemy linesThe frontal battle hall shows the local resistance of some patriotic generals of the Kuomintang;The Sichuan Army Anti-Japanese War Museum shows the special contributions of the Sichuan Army in the Anti-Japanese War;The Flying Tiger Museum commemorates U.S. aid to China, especially the U.S. Air Force's aid to ChinaThe Museum of Japanese Aggression against China displays the history of the Japanese army's crimes of aggression against ChinaThe Indomitable Prisoner of War Museum displays the situation of Chinese soldiers captured by the Japanese army during the Anti-Japanese War;The Red Army's Long March in Sichuan Memorial Hall shows the history of the Red Army's Long March in Sichuan;The Righteous Men Square commemorates the righteous people who came to China to helpThe memorial statue of Yu Dawei commemorates the meritorious generals during the Anti-Japanese War;The Southbound Liberation Monument commemorates the history of the late Liberation War and so on.

The architectural appearance and interior design of the Jianchuan Museum are full of character. The exterior design borrows the form of natural mountain stones, and the interior design creates a mournful and heavy atmosphere through the gray rough overall tone and special light environment.
