In the 14th round of the Premier League, Arsenal hosted Wolves. With a total value of €1.1 billion, Arsenal have been very consistent under Mikel Arteta, winning nine of their first 13 league games of the season and losing just one, and currently lead the table with 30 points. However, the Premier League title race is chaotic, Arsenal have not opened the gap, and once they lose points, it is likely that other teams will overtake.
Even sixth-placed Manchester United have title hopes, just six points behind the top. In this context, Arsenal have been on a strong momentum of late and a game against Wolves is a must. Mikel Arteta opted for a 433 formation, with Gabriel Jesus getting his chance to start, partnering Bukayo Saka and Martinelli in the attacking trident, with Nketiah on the bench.
Odegaard, Declan Rice and Leandro Trossard make up the midfield line-up, while Wolves fielded Hwang Hee-chan and Cunha up front. Arsenal got off to a good start, breaking down Wolves' dense backline through teamwork, with Bukayo Saka scoring early and Kenhiro Tomiyasu also providing an assist on the line of the box. Just 13 minutes into the game, Arsenal led by two goals.
Wolves were weak, and in the first half, Hwang Hee-chan didn't even have a shot on goal, and he couldn't find a point of power at all. Gabriel Jesus was brought down in the second half, but the referee did not award a penalty. In the final moments, Wolves relied on a mistake by Zinchenko to score, but Arsenal still won in thrilling fashion.
Although Arsenal have secured a win with a four-point lead over Manchester City behind them, it has put a lot of pressure on Manchester City and Liverpool. Unfortunately, however, there is not so good news that Kenhiro Tomiyasu is injured in the team. As a player who has been hit the hardest by injury, hopefully it won't affect him too much.
