Today, I am 40 years old. Looking back on the past years, it seems like it was just yesterday. Now standing at a new starting point in life, I have some insights and expectations.
I know this old saying very well. Over the past decade, I have experienced many ups and downs and changes in my life. From career changes to family building to relationships with friends, every stage is full of challenges and growth. In the process, I gradually understood what I really wanted.
So, what is the gift I want most at the age of forty?
What I want is peace of mind. As I grew older, I became more and more aware of the impermanence and changes in my life. And in this process, maintaining a peaceful mind is my greatest pursuit. I hope that I can face the challenges of life more calmly, stop worrying about trivial things, and focus on more important things.
I also want a healthy body. With the increasing pressure of work and the hectic life, my physical condition gradually declined. In order to take better care of my family and friends, I need a healthy body to support me through the years to come. So, I focus more on exercising and eating a healthy diet to keep my body in tip-top shape.
Of course, I also want to have a stable income and a happy family. Over the years, I have been working hard to provide better living conditions for my family. In the process, I gradually understood the importance of family. I hope to spend more quality time with my family and create happy memories together in the days to come.
In closing, I would like to say that forty years old is not the end, but a new beginning. No matter what we are after, we must maintain a positive attitude and the courage to move forward. I believe that in the future, we will all harvest more growth and happiness!
