Tesla has just delivered its first Cybertruck, and along with the release of the new car, it has also released a variety of accessories, including a $2,975 tent attachment that is very similar in style to the Cybertruck itself.
Yesterday, we learned about the upcoming release of the Cybertruck "Basecamp" through a leak in the Tesla app update, which revealed renders of the accessory. Now, Tesla has updated its ** with Basecamp accessories that provide more details and** show what it will look like in action.
In fact, we first learned back in 2019 that Tesla would provide a camper configuration for the Cybertruck. Along with this announcement, Tesla also released vehicle renders of the camper configuration.
Since then, many other companies have also announced their own third-party solutions, including this sophisticated extended camper from CyberLandr and this $24,000 camper option from Space Campers.
But now we're finally seeing the real Tesla, which is much cheaper than these two (albeit much more expensive than the third-party Tesla Model Y tent attachment that costs $449). The base camp also blends well with the design of the vehicle (which may or may not be positive, depending on how you feel about the design of the vehicle). Tesla has released some ** that look very different from the original render above.
