From December 7th to 8th, the IATA North Asia Cargo Day and Guangzhou International Air Cargo Hub High-Quality Development Conference with the theme of "China Hub, Global Link" was held in Guangzhou.

The conference was jointly hosted by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) North Asia, Guangdong Airport Management Group and the people of Huadu District, Guangzhou, and hosted by Guangdong Airport Group Logistics and China Southern Air Logistics Co., Ltd.

At present, Guangzhou has more than 60 air cargo routes

At present, the logistics of Guangdong Airport Group under the jurisdiction of Guangdong Airport Group is responsible for the cargo station guarantee of Baiyun Airport. Baiyun Airport has a cargo station of more than 500,000 square meters, with an annual processing capacity of more than 3 million tons, and nearly 20 remote cargo stations inside and outside the province, as well as two domestic and international transshipment centers, to create a "one-order-to-the-end" transportation channel with the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and other key domestic source cities. In order to further improve the function of air cargo hub, the logistics company has built a cross-border e-commerce processing center at Baiyun Airport, with a designed annual processing capacity of 150,000 tons.

In 2022, the cargo and mail throughput of Baiyun Airport will reach 188450,000 tons, since 2020, the cargo and mail throughput has ranked second among domestic airports for three consecutive years, reflecting that the ** chain of Guangdong and Guangzhou is not only stable and smooth, but also has outstanding advantages.

Since 2023, Baiyun Airport has opened 14 new cargo routes between Guangzhou and Chennai, New York, Madrid, and Milan. Guangzhou International Air Cargo Hub will usher in a broader space for development

In recent years, the relevant departments of the state have vigorously promoted the development of the air logistics industry, and have successively introduced a series of new policies to further release a strong signal that the state encourages the development of the air logistics industry.

In November 2022, the "Guangzhou Airport-type National Logistics Hub Construction Plan" jointly declared by the Guangzhou Airport Committee and Guangdong Airport Group was successfully included in the 2022 national logistics hub construction list, adding impetus to the construction of Guangzhou International Air Cargo Hub and the high-quality development of Guangzhou Airport economy. At the conference site, Guangdong Airport Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the people of Huadu District, Guangzhou, China Post Group, Guangdong Branch, Shenzhen SF Tyson Holdings (Group), FedEx (China), YTO Aviation Group and other hub co-construction unitsGuangdong Airport Group Logistics Co., Ltd. signed a cooperation agreement with China Southern Air Logistics Co., Ltd. and China International Cargo Airlines Co., Ltd.

The opening of the cargo apron transit area of Baiyun Airport and the start of construction of the FedEx South China Operation Center were also held at the scene, and the "Development of Guangzhou Air Cargo Industry" was released
