On December 4, an international flight carrying 19 suspects of cross-border online gambling landed at Wuhan Tianhe Airport.
Recently, under the unified command of the International Cooperation Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security, Hubei ** carried out international law enforcement cooperation on a major cross-border online gambling case, and after hard fighting, 19 criminal suspects involved in the case successfully returned to China and surrendered. The cross-border online gambling group has been entrenched overseas for a long time, operating a number of gambling platforms by means of white label gambling and self-operation, attracting Chinese citizens to participate in online gambling. Under a series of measures such as continuous high-pressure and severe crackdowns, policy pressure, and joint law enforcement deterrence abroad, many key leaders and technicians of the group finally gave up resistance and returned to China to surrender.
In this operation, the ministry, provinces, cities, and counties worked as one, coordinated and cooperated at home and abroad, and the forward working group held many meetings with the local government on information sharing, joint crackdowns, and repatriation of personnel, reached a consensus, and laid a good foundation for cracking down on cross-border crimes in the future.
The relevant person in charge of Hubei ** said that the public security organs will always maintain a fierce offensive against cross-border gambling crimes, keep a close eye on the leaders of criminal groups, end dens, destroy chains, and crack down on seven inches, continue to carry out in-depth international law enforcement cooperation such as overseas pursuit of fugitives, and continuously improve the level of ability to combat and govern cross-border crimes, and effectively maintain national economic security, social stability and national image.
