Everyone is created equal, and this is a concept that we have been taught since childhood. However, when we delve into the topic, we find that real-world inequality is everywhere. Some people live in splendid palaces and enjoy fine clothes and food;Others struggle to survive in poverty, working hard for basic needs. This huge disparity makes people wonder: are we really equal?
First, we need to be clear about what true equality is. From a biological point of view, everyone is the same species – humans, and we all share a common sky and a foundation of life. So, from that point of view, there is indeed equality between people. However, when we go deeper into society, we find that there are huge differences between people. Some people come from noble families, while others are commoners; Some have great power and wealth, while others can barely get by.
This inequality has led some people to question the equality of people. They believe that because of the differences in status, wealth, and abilities between people, there can be no true equality between people. However, I think this view ignores a very important fact: everyone has their own basic rights. These rights include the right to life, the right to property and the right to reputation, which are possessed by every human being from birth and are not affected by any external factors.
For example, whether a person is poor or rich, his life is equally precious. Similarly, regardless of a person's wealth, his property has an equally important status. This equality of fundamental rights is a principle that we must uphold as a civilized society.
However, this is often not the case in reality. Some people will use their advantages to bully and oppress those who are weak and poor. Such acts are in fact a violation of the fundamental rights of the human being and are unacceptable.
