In the face of the new international economic situation, China has put forward the great idea of "The Belt and Road". Under the "Belt and Road" strategy, domestic LED companies are ushering in new market opportunities, in order to give full play to the technology and capacity advantages of China's semiconductor lighting industry characterized by green and low-carbon wisdom, through scientific and technological cooperation, production capacity cooperation, and the implementation of projects benefiting the people along the "Belt and Road", to create a "green and low-carbon belt". Under the guidance of the Office of the National Leading Group for Promoting the Construction of the Belt and Road, the National Semiconductor Lighting Engineering R&D and Industry Alliance (CSA) and the International Semiconductor Lighting Alliance (ISA) jointly launched the "Illuminating the Belt and Road" Action Plan in 2015.
With the rapid economic development and rapid population growth in the Gulf region, the investment in infrastructure in the Middle East countries has been increasing, and the rise of energy conservation and emission reduction in recent years has also promoted the vigorous development of the power, lighting and new energy markets, so the Middle East lighting market has attracted more and more attention from Chinese LED companies.
Iran is an important export market for Chinese LED lighting products in the Middle East. According to Chinese customs data, in 2016, China's exports of lighting products to Iran were 36.4 billion US dollars, accounting for 9056%, is the first country in Iran lighting fixtures.
Iran has vigorously developed infrastructure throughout the country, and the rise of infrastructure and the enhancement of energy conservation and environmental protection awareness have led to an increasing demand for lighting products in Iran. At present, the penetration rate of LED lighting in the Iranian market is gradually increasing, but most of the current products are energy-saving lamp products. Some local shopping districts and hotel office buildings have begun to replace LED products.
Iran also has a local lighting association, but its membership is not large, about 300 to 500 companies, concentrated in Tehran, most of which are manufacturers of lanterns and engineered lamps. Iran's lighting companies basically do not produce accessories locally, but import accessories to Iran and then assemble them, and most of them are imported from China.
