Jinniu District Huapaifang Community Demonstration Bookhouse is located in the Huapaifang New Era Civilization Practice Station, with an area of 150 square meters and a collection of about 2,300 books, covering poetry and songs, historical knowledge, biographies, Chinese and foreign literature, Chinese classics, fairy tales and aphorisms, science and technology, culture and art, law, philosophy, economy, military, geography A total of 13 types of books, and focus on setting up three functional areas of "parent-child reading", "happy childhood" and "party building audio library". Social organizations such as Xieshan Tongchuang rely on the book house to build reading positions such as children's academies, nursery classes, and reading teams.
According to the structural characteristics of the large number of old and young people, the community strengthens the introduction of books related to history and culture, popular science knowledge, legal knowledge, health care, life skills, etc., and places corresponding reading aids such as reading glasses and magnifying glasses to facilitate residents' reading. For young people who do not have enough time to read, the community has strengthened the construction of digital resources and set up a "party building audio library", so that residents can not only read books but also listen to books. At the same time, combined with traditional festivals and solar terms, major festivals and anniversaries, the community carries out various reading activities such as script playing, reading sharing, and Chinese culture recitation according to the characteristics of different groups of people, and cooperates with surrounding schools and cultural units to hold various competitions, visits, parent-child reading exchange meetings, and book flea markets to enrich the form of activities.
