Highway Ambition Bugatti Chiron Custom Edition

Mondo Digital Updated on 2024-01-29

Bugatti has now launched an exclusive bespoke model, the 57 One of One, a tribute to the 1934 Bugatti Type 57 SC Atlantic. Based on the Chiron Super Sport, this latest special edition model will be one of the last models produced by Bugatti, with the Chiron model now sold out and the next generation of hybrids to be announced in the coming months.

The special custom vehicle was commissioned by an American customer who had never owned a Bugatti with the goal of creating another new iconic product in the history of the Bugatti, like the once Atlantic model, which is recognized as one of the most beautiful cars in the world, with a new straight horseshoe-shaped front grille with 14 polished vertical slats that is both reminiscent of the Atlantic Ocean and a signature styling feature of the brand.

The teal paint paint on the body and wheels is also a full reference to the Atlantic Ocean from 1934, with a hand-painted Atlantic silhouette and "57 one of one" lettering on the underside of the rear spoiler. The exterior of the body is the standard Chiron Super Sport, with vertically stacked quad exhaust pipes, a C-shaped side profile, a light bar of width to the rear bumper, a prominent waistline and an aerodynamically designed W16 engine bay.

With no body modifications involved in the use of custom design elements, the body and air fluid were still ensured to meet the 273mphde top speed specification. Inside the cabin is a full brown gaucho leather upholstery with a hand-stitched Atlantic silhouette on the door panels and the car's name inlaid on the center console. The back of the headrest depicts Bugatti's "dancing elephant" motif, which the company has been using on its most distinctive cars since the Type 41 Royale in 1926.

The purchase of this bespoke car** is not yet known, but there will be a significant increase from the £3.5 million for the standard Chiron Super Sport.

Bugatti has expressed an obvious intention to resist the EU's restriction of large-displacement internal combustion engines, which is also normal, as the largest displacement W16 engine in mass production of road cars, its position is too prominent, it is simply a negative teaching material for energy conservation and emission reduction, and it is also the basis for the survival of this brand. It will be interesting to see how Bugatti intends to electrify it.
