According to reports, the short-distance pipeline transportation of natural gas is checked and adjusted every three years. This round of verification and adjustment covers 22 major gas pipelines of 7 pipeline transportation enterprises in the province, such as Hubei Province Natural Gas Development, Enshi Prefecture Minsheng Natural Gas (Group), Xiaogan China Combustion Natural Gas, etc., with an average price reduction of about 9%. The Provincial Development and Reform Commission requires that pipeline transportation enterprises shall not charge other fees in addition to transportation, and relevant cities and counties shall transmit the full amount of price reduction to the downstream according to the changes in pipeline transportation, and adjust natural gas sales in a timely manner.
Since the beginning of this year, the Provincial Development and Reform Commission has focused on reducing the cost and burden of the "intermediate link" of natural gas supply, comprehensively considering the balanced development of the industrial chain, the market supply and demand situation, the user's affordability and other factors, strictly verifying the allowable cost of gas transmission, and reasonably reducing the "intermediate link" cost of pipeline transportation with one enterprise and one policy. At the same time, we will actively encourage pipeline transportation enterprises to strengthen cost control, take the initiative to benefit downstream enterprises, and share the transmission pressure of upstream natural gas price increases.
The relevant person in charge of the Provincial Development and Reform Commission said that the price adjustment will release more space for downstream enterprises to reduce gas costs and help Hubei enterprises reduce their burden.
